New Disney
Vacation Club Resort On The Horizon
Disney Vacation Development, Inc., operators of Disney Vacation Club (DVC)
announced that it will expand its timeshare resort presence at the
Walt Disney World Resort in Florida by building a seventh DVC property
(subject to obtaining necessary approvals). The proposed 600-unit
ownership development is slated to occupy a 61-acre site along the
award-winning Disney’s Eagle Pines golf course at Walt Disney World
Resort. All rooms will feature either a pool, golf course or forest
view. Development will begin this fall with an estimated opening in
spring/summer 2004. -July 25

Pin Celebration 2001 - Pins Around Our World
August 9-12, pin traders from all over the world will descend on Walt Disney
World for four days of pins, pins, and more pins as Epcot hosts Disney's
2001 Pin Celebration - Pins Around Our World. There will be many rare and
one-of-a-kind pins released each day, and on Sunday, a huge pin auction will
be held with many rare and unusual pins being sold to the highest bidder. -

can now order tickets through Disney's Central Reservations
Office at (407) W-DISNEY. The cost is $27.51 for adults (10 and older) and
$22.21 for kids (3-9). If you wait to buy tickets at the gate, you not only
risk the event being sold out, you also pay more: $29.53 for adults and
$24.33 for kids. All prices include tax. The party will take place
October 18, 21, 26, 28 & 31. -July 10

figure of President Bush Coming Fall 2001
Veteran artisan Blaine Gibson sculpts a bust of President George W. Bush for
the Walt Disney World Resort. The bust is featured in the rotunda of The
Hall of Presidents attraction at the Magic Kingdom theme park. Gibson has
come out of retirement to help create the bust and the Audio-Animatronics
figure of President Bush which will be placed into the attraction in the
fall. - July 2
