That's right, on May 17, the new Star Tours II opened at Disney's Hollywood
Studios--and INTERCOT was there to capture all the interstellar fun! In this
special edition we learn what this new 3D attraction has in store, find-out
the back-story for the new attraction, see how the celebration started with
a bang, and round-up the event in pictures. In addition to these
galactic goodies, we also get the scoop on the Magic Kingdom's party dates
for 2011. Hang on to them helmet's and light sabers, cause this here's the

INTERCOT's own John attended the Star
Tours II Grand Opening, here's what he had to say about the new attraction
and its festivities:
~ Over 50 adventures await at Star Tours
3D.
~ Word is you could ride this thing 6 hours straight to go thru all the
sequences.
~ Big strides have been made technology to allow a huge leap in the
attraction.
~ Imagineers took care to make sure everything in the ride is authentic.
Fans notice this sort of thing.
~ Thumbs up on the new version of Star Tours 3D. Sit in the back for best
effect.

All great Disney Theme Park attractions
tell a great story, and most have a back story to help set the scene.
With the launch of Star Tours II, INTERCOTee Mufasa shared the new official
back story for the attraction:
"It has been a long time since the end of
the Clone Wars, and the evil Sith Lord Darth Vader continues to tighten his
grip on the Empire as the galaxy moves closer to the brink of a great civil
war.
A new intergalactic spaceline, Star Tours, seeks to preserve unrestricted
intergalactic travel in this age of tyranny. Freedom fighter captain Raymus
Antilles has assigned two droids, see-threepio and artoo-detoo, to help
launch the spaceline, fueling imperial suspicion that Star Tours is part of
the Rebel Alliance.
Star Tours is about to open its first intergalactic space terminal in the
Earth System as rumors of a fearsome weapon of mass destruction dash all
hope for peace and freedom in the galaxy…"

To kick-off the festivities, Disney's Hollywood Studios presented a
spectacular fireworks display for the event. Our INTERCOT team
captured the event in HD for your viewing pleasure. Visit INTERCOT's

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party"
and "Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party" dates have been released. These
are hard ticket events. Guests must purchase separate admission to attend.
Walt Disney World limits the number of tickets sold in order to keep the
crowds down and many dates sell out in advance. Purchase tickets by calling
