<<Introduction>>

The New Year has rolled in with a winter wallop, but the INTERCOT Insider is here to cure a case of cabin fever.  Snow and ice may be piling up in your neck of the woods, but news of new and exciting experiences has been piling up at the Walt Disney World resort and aboard the Disney Cruiseline.  In this edition we take a look at the newly launched Disney Dream Cruise Ship and find out what's coming to Fantasyland. It's Insider time!

<<Aboard the Dream with John and Ian>>

INTERCOT's own John and Ian and were guests on the Disney Dream Preview Cruise last week.  The two took a boat-load of pictures and could fill several sea shanties with what they had to say.  Here are some of the highlights of their seafaring experience:

- Cabins were nicely appointed & we love the separated bathrooms.
- Dining onboard - meal at Palo was excellent as was the food everywhere - very good - both Ian and John were pleasantly surprised.
- Animator's Palate is a giant Turtle Talk in the round - very cool! Meal there was the best of the rotating restaurants.
- Living Artwork on board - pictures come to life. Neat touch.
- Secret/Magic Porthole Rooms - we're so ready to stay in one. Even liked the layouts better. High def screens are an effective illusion.
- Skyline night club - Huge monitors made to look like windows on the world. The menus there also glowed - very easy to read in low light.
-The Aquaduck -  All in all, not too scary despite being "see-thru".
- Fireworks show onboard - only ship to be doing it right now.
- LOVED Castaway Cay. Couldn't be nicer.
- Senses Spa Cabana Massages & Shave/Facial/Chair Massage. Right around $100 - very reasonable.
- Villains show was funny, entertaining and very Broadway. Hades was a riot.
- The Greycliff Tour - Cigar Rolling and Rum Tasting - A two person tour. The wine cellar was amazing. 260,000 bottles of wine - the third largest in the world. One rack was worth over a MILLION DOLLARS alone.
- Had dinner at Senior Frogs - nice spot with a neat view of the harbor.
- INTERCOT Best of Disney Dream... Ian says Castaway Cay. John liked his huge verandah and the dinner at Palo.

<<Coming Attractions>>

The Walt Disney World resort has announced more exciting attractions planned for the on-going Fantasyland expansion. Here's a recap of the exciting attractions just announced to be opening in Phase II:

- The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train will take guests on a rollicking, musical ride into the mine “where a million diamonds shine.” The coaster will feature a first-of-its kind ride system with a train of ride vehicles that swing back and forth, responding to every twist and turn of the track. The journey will be accompanied by music from the classic Disney film and animated figures of Snow White and the Dwarfs.

- Princess Fairytale Hall will become the home of Aurora, Cinderella and other Disney princesses, such as Tiana and Rapunzel.  The Princesses will greet Guests in an elegant royal court on the site where Snow White’s Scary Adventures stands today.

- Storybook Circus will be filled with the sound of the calliope and not one but two circling carousels of Dumbo the Flying Elephant. Before taking to the skies on this Fantasyland favorite, guests can experience an array of fun-filled family games and interactive wonders for kids of all ages inside the Big Top.

-The Great Goofini will be new twist on the classic Barnstormer coaster. Featuring Goofy as  It’s a twisting, turning roller coaster “flight” high above the circus fun.

Before Guests hop onboard these attractions, Guests will experience new attractions and restaurants as Phase I is completed in Late 2012.  Here's a re-cap of the attractions opening in Phase I:

- Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid, a major, all-new attraction during which guests will travel with Ariel and her friends through their exciting adventures above and below the waves – all against a musical backdrop of songs from the classic film.

- Be Our Guest Restaurant will feature a lavish dining experience in Beast's castle featuring the the elegant ballroom, gallery, and mysterious “West Wing”. With seating for 550, this magnificent facility will offer “great food fast” service by day and full table service dining in the evening.

- Belle's Village will be a quaint, French town featuring the rousing Gaston’s Tavern and Bonjour! Village Gifts.

- Enchanted Tales with Belle will transport Guests from Belle's Cottage into a new kind of storytelling experience. The adventure begins in Maurice’s workshop, where a magical mirror is the doorway to the Beast’s library to meet Belle and Lumiere, and share in a lively, interactive, re-telling of the “tale as old as time.”

<< Conclusion >>

That draws this double-header edition of exciting news developments to a close.  We hope its gotten you excited about the newest Disney ship on the seven seas and the new things to see in Fantasyland in the coming years.  Will be back in a few weeks with more news, tips and deals.
