June's busting out all over, and Walt Disney World is busting with fireworks, light parades, new ways to scream and more!  Summer Nightatstic! kicked-off at the Walt Disney World resort June 6th. In this special edition of the INTERCOT Insider,  we cover all of exciting features of this multi-month event.  Hang on to them hats and glasses, cause this here's the most informative ride on the internet!

<<Club 626 Dance Party>>

Blast-off into the night with this dance party in Tommorowland at the Magic Kingdom.  At night, the Rocket Tower Plaza Stage becomes party central for this galactic groovefest with a live DJ and Disney Characters.  Playing both classic and current party hits, Guests of all ages can boogie down with Stitch, Goofy, Pluto, or Chip & Dale.  

<<Main Street Electrical Parade>>

This classic pageant returned to the Walt Disney World Resort for the first time since 2001.   A nostalgia trip for many, this “crown jewel of summer” kicks off the season with the combination of the classic parade plus new lighting effects, new floats, and new characters.  The Blue Fairy has taken to retirement, as Tinker Bell now leads the illuminated pageantry from the  basket of a dazzling new balloon float.  Pinocchio and the donkey boys from the classic film’s Pleasure Island sequence join the parade. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs also join the parade on a Diamond Mine float glittering with colorful gems.  Many of the classic floats feature enhanced effects and, though the music stays true to the original parade, the score’s dynamics soar to greater heights thanks to state-of-the-art technology.

<<Rock ‘n Glow Dance Party>>

Guests are invited to trip the light fantastic at a rockin’ dance party every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.  A DJ accompanied by a rotating selection of rock bands play sizzling summer sounds in the shadow of the 122-foot-tall Mickey’s Sorcerer’s Hat on Hollywood Boulevard. Guests should also watch for popular Disney characters to step into the dance party spotlight! The fun starts three hours before park closing.

<<Summer Nightastic! Fireworks Spectacular>>

While Wishes takes a summer vacation, the Magic Kingdom is presenting the "Summer Nightatstic! Fireworks Spectacular" filled with vivid color and visual effects.  The "Magic, Music, and Mayhem" fireworks show from Disney's Pirate and Princess Party returns high above Cinderella Castle with a new name and new opening narration, but still tells a thrilling story headlined by fairies and pirates.  The spectacular still features whimsical score of classic Disney tunes and theme music from the hit film “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.”  The fireworks perimeter around Magic Kingdom is expand by 25 percent from "Wishes" surrounding Guests in a sea of fireworks; a great reason for Guests who have previously seen the show under its old name to see it again and also for those Guests who have not seen the show to see it for a first time.

<<Sounds Like Summer Concert Series>>

This Summer favorite returns to Epcot as part of the Summer Nightastic! event.  The curtain rose for popular rock-band tributes June 12th at the Epcot's America Gardens Theatre in World Showcase. Each evening through July 31 at 5:45 pm, 7:00 pm and 8:15 pm, “Sounds Like Summer” tribute-band concerts drum up lots of nostalgia with hot tunes and cool riffs, from “Satisfaction” to “Saturday in the Park.” 

<<Summer Screams>>

During Summer Nightastic!, the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at the Disney's Hollywood Studios is bringing  more thrills to those who dare to enter. A chilling new drop sequence was created especially for Summer Nightastic! that includes a new soundtrack, the return of a classic effect and new lighting effects. Additionally, Guests will experience the an all new "5th dimension" that features a major special effect all new to the Hollywood Studios attraction.
