Boma is a favorite of many INTERCOTee's, but at $30.88 per adult and $14.99 per child frequently dinning at this buffet can be a bit tough to swallow on many Guests' budgets.  The near-by Mara quick service restaurant is an oasis to many INTERCOTees taste buds and pocketbooks. If you want to grab an inexpensive light dinner, but don't want to give up the great cuisine Boma offers, you won't be settling for less with the soup selection at Mara.  Mara offers the same soup that is available on Boma's $30 per person buffet, but for $2.59 per cup.  Have a sweet tooth for the "world" renowned Zebra Dome, but don't want to dish out $30 at Boma every time you have a craving?   Mara also offers a serving the same delicious dessert for $3.69.

To save even more on your vacation, book a stay at the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin on select dates through-out 2009 or enjoy a free night's stay on your Birthday!  If you are a member of our military, a teacher or school support staff member, nurse, or Florida resident, the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin has additional discounts available just for you!

Disney's Polynesian Resort is a favorite of many INTERCOTee's for it's immersive themeing and great restaurants, but also its convenient transportation to Epcot.  Unlike other hotels on the Monorail system, Guests need not take the Resort monorail to the Ticket & Transportation Center and change monorails; rather Guests can simply make a short walk to the Ticket & Transportation Center and take the Epcot monorail directly from there.  Guests can find the path to the Ticket & Transportation Center by following the paths between the Tahiti and Rapa Nui longhouses or following the path between Rapa Nui longhouse and the parking lot.

A great way to travel between the Walt Disney World resort and the airport is with Quicksilver Tours & Transportation. Quicksilver goes to great lengths to ensure that your trip is exactly how you imagined it at rates lower than standard taxi rates.

Here's some recent insight INTERCOTee's have shared in the Disney Vacation Club forum on the best sections of Disney's Old Key West resort to request:

"Old Key West now has a booking type called 'close to hospitality house' and if you want to be near the main pool and building then you should request that. It can be nice being near the quiet pools and lots of people have different favourite areas. I usually ask for a water view where ever I am, but you can ask for golf course view. If you can manage steps the upper floors have better views"--dlpmikki

"Just last week I made our reservations for next May and the Cast Member said "I can give you close to the Hospitality House if you want" and I thought that was very nice of her to let me know she had that available; so the location must be in high demand.  That being said, we also like the Turtle Pond area as well. You can request close to the pool in that area which also has its own snack shop."-- Checkers

"We definitely prefer close to the Hospitality House. We have a car with us so using the transportation is not an issue either way. It is nice to be able to walk to the main pool or the general store."--SFD998

Finding activities a large group can do together at Walt Disney World just got a little more up-lifting.  Large groups can now visit Downtown Disney guests to get a bird's-eye view of Walt Disney World Resort as they soar to new heights in the new Characters in Flight attraction.  Now open at Downtown Disney's West Side near Pleasure Island, this giant tethered gas balloon rises into the sky carrying up to 30 passengers to a height of 400 feet. The balloon itself is decorated with a whimsical Disney design featuring a dozen of Disney's animated flying characters in silhouette such as Mary Poppins, Peter Pan and Dumbo. Flight times and availability will depend on weather conditions. Guests can catch flights 7 days a week  for $16 per adult and $10 per children ages 3-9. Availability is on first-come, first-serve basis.

All Star Vacation Homes are great place to stay when visiting Walt Disney World with a large group. With over 170 Orlando vacation homes and condo rentals that can accommodate an array of group sizes (some up to 16 Guests), it's easy to stay close to Disney World with all the comforts of home.

Many Guests feel the need to take a break in the evening to eat a nice Dinner during their day at the Theme Parks; however, grabbing a quick bite in the evening and dining later can be a way to better maximize your day.  Most Table Service restaurants in the Theme Parks will take Dinner reservations right up-to the park's scheduled closing time for that day.  If dining this late is not a bother to your appetite, it is a great way to visit attractions and experience shorter lines while most other Guests are eating dinner.  Doing so also allows you to grab a great spot for the nighttime show while most others are eating, and then eat your Dinner after the show.  Restaurant policies can vary depending on the time of year, so make sure to make an Advanced Dining Reservation in advance if you plan on eating this late.

For a hotel that's convenient on location and on your wallet, consider a stay at the Radisson Orlando - Celebration.  Located in Celebration on 20 beautifully landscaped acres, the Radisson Orlando - Celebration is only 1.5 miles from Walt Disney World and provides scheduled shuttle service to all four theme parks.

While there's no such thing as a third wheel at Disney World, attraction seating with a group of three can seem like a bit of a quandary when most rides seat two across.  Not to fear, many INTERCOTee's have advice on how the situation is usually handled.   Here's some of their great advice:

"For the marathon weekend each year, I visit Walt Disney World with my friend and her husband. Most of the time, they sit together and I am either immediately in front or behind them."--irish1967

"On most rides, one of us just rides alone. On rides with a single rider line, one of us just pairs-up with someone else, and it really isn't a big deal at all.  For things like The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Snow White's Scary Adventure, Rock 'n' Rollercoaster, etc.; it is just a case of different rows. For things like Peter Pan's Flight or the Haunted Mansion, the single person just goes in behind in the next ship or doombuggy. The Cast Members at all of the rides are pretty good at telling you where to go, and keeping the group as together as possible."--ibelieveindisneymagic

"If it is a ride that has a single rider line, then the third person is usually paired with someone from that line.  If the ride does not have a single rider line then you will ride 2 and 1."--cfoshe

Few things can beat a great day at a Walt Disney World theme park, but saving money on your park tickets can make it even better. As Orlando Florida's most recommended discount attraction ticket agency, The Official Ticket Center's tickets are all discounted, cheap, and tax included with "No Hidden Fees".
