Epcot's 25th Anniversary: October 1, 2007

While the Year of a Million Dreams celebration continues across all of Walt Disney World, Guests who are visiting Epcot on Monday, October 1, 2007 will know they are a part of a special day as the park commemorates its anniversary in a number of ways. Events include a rededication ceremony, an Epcot historical exhibit opening in Innoventions, and an exclusive Illuminations finale. While many of the events will only be one day, the historical exhibit and celebration merchandise are expected to continue beyond the anniversary day.

Disney Parks Extends ‘Year of a Million Dreams’

Disney Parks announced today that its “Year of a Million Dreams” celebration will extend throughout 2008 at Disneyland Resort in California and Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Dreams include; A chance for guests to stay inside Disneyland Park; A private day at Disney’s tropical island paradise, Castaway Cay; A New Year’s Eve night stay inside Cinderella Castle Suite at Walt Disney World Resort; A star-studded trip to the “High School Musical 3” film premiere and a flight of fancy in a hot air balloon above a Disney theme park. Over one million more dreams that will be awarded in 2008.

12th Annual Super Soap Weekend

"The View's" new co-host Sherri Shepherd and more than 30 ABC Daytime stars from "All My Children," "One Life To Live," "General Hospital" and "General Hospital: Night Shift" will appear at the 12th Annual ABC Super Soap Weekend at Disney-MGM Studios, November 10 & 11, 2007. ABC Super Soap Weekend is the largest soap fan event held anywhere in the country and is included with theme park admission to the Disney-MGM Studios.

 Labor Day is long gone, autumn is in full swing – we’re feeling the chill in the air, the rake’s been getting a workout and we’re seeing preparations for Halloween.  Here are some of the September highlights in the Water Cooler:

We kicked off the month of September with Jamie’s Annual Labor Day BBQ, then moved on to the Annual Grandparents Day Gala, the What a Wonderful Wife Extravaganza, the Falling All Over the Seasons Party, and the Send a Note of Love to Someone You Love Party.  Be sure to check out the Water Cooler every Friday for Jamie’s party – it’s a great way to start your weekend!

What says “it’s fall” to you?  disneydrmr asked what is your favorite fall smell or taste?  D_m_n_n: “The smell of harvested corn drying, burning leaves, and warm apple cider”, Miss Styles: “ANYTHING pumpkin!”, snowflakegirl: “I love the smell of crisp leaves, fresh, ripe MacIntosh apples; hot apple cider, pumpkins, fresh pumpkin bread, state fairs.”, DMApixie: “my favorite fall smell is the Thanksgiving turkey and stuffing cooking all day. YUM!”, Momof2boys: “I love the smell of burning leaves in the fall.”, Donald A: “Fall is my favorite time of the year. Even though it as been awhile, there is so much activity in the fall. There is nothing like a 55-60 degree fall evening and a high school football game. I love the apple cider and pumpkin smell.”  So what’s you’re favorite thing about fall?

We get a lot of photography, video and camera questions in the Water Cooler each month.  tarjaybuff wanted to know what software program to use to set pictures to music, IloveDisney71 asked for recommendations on a monopod or tabletop tripod, Magic Smiles wanted opinions on SLR digital cameras, Figgyluv03 had questions on Fuji cameras, and mickeysworld wanted to know which site to upload pictures to.  Remember that we have a terrific “Search” feature on the INTERCOT boards, and you may find exactly the answer you’re looking for without posting a new question!

September celebrations included Emma N Nut Day, National Chocolate Milkshake Day, Crush a Can Day, Ask a Stupid Question Day, Stay Away from Seattle Day, Defy Superstition Day, National Apple Dumpling Day, Felt Hat Day, Teddy Bear Day, Fight Procrastination Day, and of course the ever popular Talk Like a Pirate Day.  Thanks Jeanne for keeping us entertained each month!
