<< Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! >>
On select nights during the Holiday season the Magic Kingdom transforms
into Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. The after-hours party features a
magical night of holiday snow, an enchanting parade, Disney Character
greetings, spectacular fireworks and tasty treats, plus the most popular
Magic Kingdom attractions. The party is currently in full swing for the 2006
Holiday Season and will continue on select nights through December 21.
Let’s take a look at what INTERCOTees have recently had to say about this
festive annual event:
“We went to MVMCP in 2004 and loved it! Definitely worth the price of
admission! … We walked onto all of the "mountain" rides repeatedly, saw many
characters and had a ball! The only crowds we encountered were for the free
cookies and hot chocolate. My youngest was 5 at the time and was so excited
with the festive mood of the evening that staying up late didn't bother her
at all.”
-- wickersham
“This will be our 4th year in a row … We like the snow on main street which
is crowded and Wishes and the rides and we usually watch the parade.” –MsMin
”Loved the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!!! Hot chocolate and cookies
were quite tasty, and it was so much fun getting on rides with no lines! We
did many rides in addition to catching the parade, fireworks, and Mickey's
Twas the Night Before Christmas show. The snow on Main Street was awesome as
well. I would definitely do it again”—PirateLover
“I went to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party last year and I absolutely
loved it!! The hot chocolate and cookies were great.”-- FLGator86
“Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party totally gets me ready for Christmas -
the park is decorated beautifully (they even create snow on Main St.)!
Seeing the different Christmas shows, and Santa at the end of the parade is
always fun!”—Tynkerbelle
“I have done the Christmas Party twice. It is all about the atmosphere, the
music, the decorations, and the fun of the special parades and fireworks.”—ChipnDaleGal

Holiday Splendor 2006 >>
From mid-November through early January, the Walt Disney World presents a
grandiose collection of events and exhibits aptly called “Holiday Splendor”.
This year the “Holiday Splendor” kicked-off November 13, 2006 and will run
through January 7, 2007.
-The Magic Kingdom-
The Kingdom of Magic and Dreams offers even more enchantment during the
Holiday Season. From tree lightings, to shows, to decorations; the Magic
Kingdom has even more to offer during this wonderful time of year.
‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house not a creature
was stirring… well, actually there was a Mouse. On select days during the
Holiday Season, the Galaxy Palace theater spreads Christmas Cheer with
special presentations of the “Mickey's 'Twas The Night Before Christmas”
show.
Toy Soldiers, Teddy Bears and Candy Canes…oh, my. On select days near
Christmas, the Magic Kingdom makes special presentations of Mickey’s Very
Merry Christmas Parade twice each day. The seasonal parade is a rare sight
during regular park hours, so it is a definite not to miss.
As twilight approaches the Magic Kingdom really lights up during the Holiday
Season. On most nights during the Holiday Season the Magic Kingdom features
the “Magic Kingdom Tree Lighting Ceremony” on Main Street USA.
Once night has settled in, the Magic Kingdom lights up the sky with
Christmas spirit. On select nights near Christmas, the Magic Kingdom offers
special presentations of the Holiday Wishes fireworks show. Although this
presentation is not quite as extravagant as the one shown during Mickey’s
Very Merry Christmas Party, it is still a spectacular sight the spreads
Christmas cheer across the sky.
-Epcot-
Epcot’s World Showcase gives Guests a taste of Winter Holidays across the
globe. With many traditional customs displayed in each country’s pavilions
and special nighttime extravaganzas, the Spirit of the Season bursts with
International flare.
On most days during the Holiday Season, Epcot’s World Showcase presents
“Holidays Around the World”. Many of the pavilions come to life as Holiday
Storytellers weave tales of Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanzaa and other Winter
Holiday’s lore. With multiple performances a day, Guests have lots of
opportunities to take in the international festivities.
As dusk descends upon World Showcase, Showcase Plaza lights up with dazzling
lights on most nights during the Holiday Season. Join Mickey and Friends as
they share international traditions during the “Mickey’s Tree Lighting
Treat”. Nearby, a canopy of wonder sparks to life during the Seasonal
presentation of “Lights of Winter”. The stretch between World Showcase and
Future World sparkles with a dazzling display of music and lights.
On select nights during the Holiday Season, the American Garden Theater
presents the “Candle Light Processional”. Special celebrity guest speakers
and a choral cast re-tell the Nativity Story in a stunning and moving
fashion.
Most nights during the Holiday Season come to life with the hope and joy as
Epcot presents “Illuminations: Let There be Peace on Earth”. This special
presentation of Illuminations is a variation of the “Illuminations:
Reflections of Earth” show that ends with a special “Peace on Earth” finale.
-Disney-MGM Studios-
Tinsel Town lives up to its name during the Holiday Season. With a Christmas
cavalcade and a wonderland of lights, Disney-MGM Studios celebrates the
Season Hollywood Style.
On most days during the Holiday Season, your favorite Stars cruise by in
their Christmas best. The Hollywood Holly-Day Parade is a special Christmas
version of the Stars and Motorcars Parade.
As night falls over the Studios, the Streets of America burst of Holiday
Heritage. During most nights during the Holiday Season, the Streets of
America transform into the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights. This amazing
array of lights and lighted sculptures immerse Guests in a Big City
Christmas only found on the Silver Screen. New for 2006, the massive display
of lights dances in choreographed patterns to Seasonal musical every 15
minutes.
-The Animal Kingdom-
The Wilds of the Animal Kingdom grow into a festive forest of fun during the
Holiday Season. With a Christmas caravan, a festive breakfast, and an
Evergreen clad camp, the Animal Kingdom celebrates the Season on the Wild
Side.
On most days during the Holiday Season, the trails of Discovery Island are
jamming with jingle bells and jolly with joy. Mickey’s Jingle Jungle Parade
is a special Christmas version of Mickey’s Jammin’ Jungle Parade that
features Characters and their vehicles in their Christmas best.
During most of the Holiday Season Camp Mickey-Minnie transforms into Santa
Goofy’s Holiday Village. This special seasonal overlay features Santa Goofy
and his friends in their Christmas Best amongst a forest of specially themed
Christmas Trees. Campfire Carolers, a Sunrise tree lighting ceremony, and
other live entertainment are sure to keep Guests’ Christmas Sprits high.
On most mornings during the Holiday Season, the Restaurantosaurs takes on a
Christmas twist. “Deck the Halls with Donald” is a special Christmas version
of Donald’s Breakfastosaurs that features Donald and Friends in their
Christmas Best and Santa Goofy.
-Downtown Disney-
