A popular Epcot Future World pavilion opens back up after rehab, ESPN
The Weekend dates announced, Walt Disney World celebrates the New Year in
style, and Disney Vacation Club members get a sneak "peak" at Expedition:
Everest.
Living Seas Pavilion Reopens
After going down for extensive renovations in June, the Living Seas in
Epcot’s Future World has resumed operations. Guests now enter and exit
through the former exit of the pavilion. This dual entrance/exit appears to
be temporary, as a portion of the pavilion is still under construction. Upon
entering visitors will find a new passage area with a gift shop to one side.
Beyond this section is the newly refurbished SeaBase. All existing exhibits
prior to the refurbishment remain unchanged and no new displays have been
added.
"Well hate to see the hydrolators go, but at least they are moving in the
right direction. Looking forward to the rides return." – skisurf2
"Had the opportunity to visit the Living Seas yesterday. Let me just say
that the refurb looks great." – Coleby
"Thanks for the update. The changes sound good but I too will miss the
hydrolators." – kms1066heb

Across
the Boards with Figment! >>
Welcome back to another installment of Across the Boards. In this
installment let’s take a look at how to quote other INTERCOTee’s and other
parts of the site.
The first type of quote is when you want to quote another post. To do this
simply click on the quotation marks symbol (“ “) in the bottom right corner
of every post. Once clicking on this symbol you will be taken to a reply
form with the post already in the reply field with the proper quote tags
around it. Then simply fill in your reply below the quoted text like you
would with any other reply, then click on the post button.
The second type of quote is when you want to quote another part of the site.
To do this start off by hitting the reply button as you would for any other
reply. Then copy and paste the text from another part of the site you would
like to quote. Then once you have done this you will need to place quote
tags around the text. As an example, let’s quote something from info
central.
If I wanted to quote the following, “Big Thunder Mountain Railroad: Riders
must be at least 40 inches (3'4") tall to ride.”
I would first copy and paste this information into the reply field, then
before the text I would type [Quote=INTERCOT info Central]. Then after the
quote I would type [/Quote]. The whole text would look like this:
[Quote=INTERCOT info Central]Big Thunder Mountain Railroad: Riders must be
at least 40 inches (3'4") tall to ride[/Quote]
Then filling in the rest of the reply and clicking on the post button, my
quoted text would appear in quote format with the lead text “Originally
posted by INTERCOT info Central”.
Until next time, happy browsing around the boards and see ya real soon!
<< Off Topic with ChipDale >> Well, we have
Thanksgiving under our belts (in more ways than one) and the Holiday season
is upon us. Let’s look back at November’s Water Cooler happenings:
Did you go shopping on Black Friday? DizNee143 asked INTERCOTees if they
were braving the crowds for bargains the day after Thanksgiving. Answers
ranged from “no way!” (PolyGirl40, Munch, AvonleaCF, BrerGnat and
ChipnDaleGal) to “yes I can’t wait” (dodukes, Momof2boys, MNNHFLTX,
Mom2Princess’ and goofgal). However you spent Black Friday, I hope that it
was enjoyable for you!
Along with Veteran’s Day and Thanksgiving, Lizzy reminded us that November
is also Apple Month, International Drum Month, Family Stories Month and
Adoption Awareness Month. Weekly celebrations included World Kindness Week,
Pursuit of Happiness Week, Better Conversation Week and Fig Week. Daily
observances in November were Sadie Hawkins Day, Dunce Day, Bean Day,
National American Teddy Bear Day and World Television Day to name just a
few. Stop in the Water Cooler next month to see what celebrations Lizzy has
in store for us!
Even though it was only November 11th, Jeri Lynn wanted to know which of our
INTERCOTees had started on their holiday decorating. While a lot of our
members don’t decorate until after Thanksgiving, there were quite a number
who had already begun! Ghost * Hostess was done, mamacon67 got hers done
early so she could come home to a decorated house after her WDW vacation.
Momof2boys took advantage of milder weather to get her lights up early, and
DizNee143 already had one of their tree trees up in the beginning of
November! However and whenever you decorate, I hope you are all enjoying the
Holiday season!
Jamie’s Friday parties for November included Jane Will Be Happy To Be Your
Beer Taste Tester Party (that one was my favorite!), the Military M*A*S*H
Bash, Mickey Mouse’s Birthday Party, and the Pretty in Pepto Bismol Pink
Party. Thanks Jamie and Nigel for entertaining us each Friday!
Congratulations to Strmchasr on the arrival of your new baby boy on November
11th. Welcome Veteran’s Day Baby Cole!
More congratulations go out to INTERCOT’s sister site, INTERCOT West on
welcoming its 3000th member!
November posting milestones were reached by Beast_fanatic – 32,000 posts,
PolyGirl40 –31,000 posts, ChipnDaleGal – 16,000 posts, MickeysGirl – 13,000
posts, DizneyFreak2002 – 5,000 posts, five all-the-way – 1,000 posts, Turkey
Leg – 400 posts, tinkerbellybutton – Senior Cast Member, CanadianWDWFan –
Senior Cast Member, cantgetenuff – Senior Cast Member, and WDWTEXAS – Cast
Member. Great job everyone!
That about wraps it up for November. I hope all of you out there have a
wonderful Holiday! See you next year!
