<< Introduction >>
Ah, the ice is finally melting. Life is good. The sun is shining, the birds
are singing, March Madness is starting. What more could you ask for? Why a
trip to Disney World! What better way to while away a spring day than by
wandering around the World Showcase, sipping a cool drink and enjoying the
sites? Or by enjoying the cool breeze on your face as you're dropped
thirteen stories, faster than gravity? Or by chowing down on a Churro?
Sounds like I need to call Magical Journeys to get my trip booked now!
This month, DisneyWizard gives us a great overview of upcoming events at WDW.
Polygirl40 let's us know what's going on in Info Central, Dizneyana (glad
you're feeling better Tracey!) catches up on what you guys have been up to
and TiggerRPh tells us how we can correctly spell "divertissement" in our
posts. (It's okay if you get it wrong the first time. He also tells us how
we can edit ourselves to sound smarter!)

Speaking of Info Central,
when was the last time you took a look at the offerings this little "Disneypedia"
has to offer? Updated almost as frequently as Disney changes their pricing,
park hours and events (and that's quite often!), this corner of our website
features some of the best information on Disney that the web has to offer.
And it gets better by the day!
With all the changes that Disney is making on a daily basis, there isn't a
better tool you could have! Check it out at today!
<< A Little Bird Told
Me . . . >>
I received an email from a close friend who was so excited about the details
of his upcoming trip that he just had to share. Seems the wonderful Debbie
at Magical Journeys snagged
him a room rate at Port Orleans that are even better than 1998 rates! In
fact, it's a full $40 cheaper than what I paid for a similar room during the
same week three years ago. Way to go Debbie!
If you haven't booked your Magical Journey yet, hop on over to and let Nanci,
Jean, Debbie, Karen and Linda work their magic for you!
<< Disney World Events
with DisneyWizard >>
As Spring continues to move in on Florida, more and more updates are
arriving from Walt Disney World. With news of the Star Wars Weekend, the end
of the 100 Years of Magic Celebration, and some great deals, March is a
sure-fire month for the Mouse.
-Star Wars weekends coming soon-
The Star Wars weekends have returned this year for weekends beginning May 16
and continuing through June 15. The events take place on Fridays, Saturdays,
and Sundays in Disney-MGM Studios and include some great celebrities from
the making of the films.
"My kids and I are HUGE SW fans, and to combine the magic of a WDW trip with
the magic of SW will be unbelievable." -Kingwoz
"It's a SW's Fan's dream come true!" -MonkeyBaby
-Parades continue after 100 Years of Magic Celebration-
The Share a Dream Come True parade from the Magic Kingdom, Mickey's Jammin
Jungle parade in Animal Kingdom, and the Disney Stars and Motor Cars parade
in Disney MGM Studios are planned to continue running in each park, even
after the 100 Years of Magic Celebration has ended. No news yet as to the
official decision on what will become of Tapestry of Dreams, but rumors
indicate a parade with Disney characters might be an option Disney is
looking into.
"This is absolutely wonderful news. The 'Share a Dream Come True' parade was
lovely." -CarrieAllie
"I am happy that the parades will continue at Magic Kingdom, MGM and Animal
Kingdom but I will miss the Tapestry of Dreams." -kjblovesdisney
-Discounts available for Summer trips-
A discount is available for vacations between April 27th and July 3rd at
Walt Disney World. Value resorts, moderate resorts, and deluxe resorts are
all available for prices that have INTERCOTees jumping for joy. Be sure to
call Magical Journeys to
book your trip and support INTERCOT.
"I have referred 2 families (personal friends) to Debbie Kuhns [from Magical
Journeys]. She is wonderful to work with!" -wendy*darling
"Magical Journeys is definitely an asset to INTERCOT." -Piglet822

Happy March, Everyone!
There have been several changes made over the last few weeks at Walt Disney
World. Some renovation projects have been extended, park hours and events
amended and additional closings announced.
The Park Hours and Events pages have both been updated to reflect the
current listings. You'll notice that Epcot's Future World will be closing at
6 PM during portions of March and April. Blizzard Beach will not be
reopening until April 9th and the completion of work on the Great Movie Ride
at Disney-MGM Studios has been extended to June.
Pleasure Island shops will no longer be open before 7PM. Disney-MGM Studio's
Hollywood & Vine will no longer be offering their Character Breakfast &
Lunch buffets beginning March 23rd. The Harbor Club Childcare facility at
the BoardWalk resort is closed until further notice, effective March 16,
2003. To arrange for alternative childcare consult INTERCOT's information
page below.
http://www.intercot.com/infocentral/children/childcare.asp
Please note: everything above has been added to INTERCOT's Rehab & Closing
page. Click below for more details.

Onto Info Central:
There is a new page detailing Epcot's 2003 International Flower & Garden
Festival. Daily schedules, guest gardeners, concert line-ups and the
Mother's Day brunch are all highlighted. You can visit the page below.
http://www.intercot.com/infocentral/park/flowergarden.asp
We've also added a
priority seating spreadsheet. It is a printable page to
help with organizing your dining agenda as well as enabling you to keep the
information all in one place when traveling. Take a look.
The Fantasmic! Dining Package tiered pricing is now a fixed item and will
remain. As with other Disney-MGM Studio dinner priority seating
arrangements, the package can be booked 60 days in advance. Consult Info
Central for more details and prices.

That wraps things up for this month. Thanks to everyone for contributing
information and special thanks to Gary (dpamac) for bringing it all to
"life".
See you in April.

Well, it's been another month of continued cold weather for a lot of you
folks, and I'm happy to report that I *finally* got my first measurable snow
of the winter (2") last night.. It was gone by this morning, but I did see
it!! I know that we are all anxious for Spring, and I'm sure it will be here
soon!! Until then, let's recap February's happenings..
I was a little under the weather this month, as some of you know, so my
reporting is not quite as detailed as it usually is, but we'll be sure to
cover the major events.. Unfortunately, the month started with the loss of
the Space Shuttle Columbia, and all 7 astronauts that were on board. We
mourn the loss of these courageous people, and send our condolences to their
families.. We also lost a favorite childhood icon this month with the death
of Fred "Mister" Rogers.. I know that I have vivid memories of watching him
when I was young, and I hope that his teachings will continue to entertain
young ones for a long time to come..
Everyone have their party hats on, and a glass of punch?? Let's raise our
glasses to the February Birthday bunch: Jeff, Dizneyana, SteelyGirl,
frogmn78, kjblovesdisney, AmyKane, Duane, disneygirlnowmom, TooGoofy,
Sportster, LottaLubes, dc16, PanTink, Mouse Mortimer, Altair, and Patti!!
Happy Birthday!!
All hail this month's posting milestones!! ChipDale - 21K, Dizneyana - 14K,
Beast_fanatic - 12K, TiggerRPh - 11K, Disney_nut - 8K, Katmegali - 6K,
Melanears - 5K, MNNHFL - 3K, Disney-4-Me - 3K, Edzter86 - 1K, jefmblrd - 1K,
and J.C.&ALI'SMOM who finally hit 500 posts after 3 years!! Congratulations
to you all!!
The membership rolls at INTERCOT have now passed the 9000 mark, and I know
that we are all anxiously awaiting our 10,000th member!! Wonder who it will
be?? Stay tuned!! I now return you to the real topic..

You've just written the most brilliant post that INTERCOT will ever see, you
click the "add reply" button, your creation posts to the boards, then, with
horror you notice a mistake or you think of an even better way to end the
post...what do you do? Fortunately, the discussion boards are equipped with
a tool to solve your problem:
1. Reopen the thread that your post is in.
2. In the header of your post (the line that has the date/time of your post)
are several icons. Click on the icon that looks like a piece of paper and a
pencil. This is the edit icon.
3. Your post will now be displayed in an editable format. You can now make
any changes that you need to make.
4. Click the "Edit Post" button.
5. You'll be returned to the edited thread.
In addition to editing your post, the members of INTERCOT have two ways to
make sure that posts are spelled correctly. A method used by a number of
members is to compose your thread in Word or any comparable word processing
software, use the Spell Check, then cut and paste it into an INTERCOT
thread. Another method that is to use of ieSpell. ieSpell (http://www.iespell.com)
is a free Internet Explorer extension that spell checks the text you enter
on INTERCOT and other WebPages.
All you have to do is download it and install it. IeSpell handles the rest.
<< Conclusion >>
That's it for now. We hope everyone is getting their brackets together for
March Madness.
We'll have much, much more in a few weeks. So much more, in fact, that we'll
be BLOOMING with information!
See you real soon!
