Our Sizzling Summer Vacation Day 5

We started out early today at Animal Kingdom. We went right to EE for the girls to ride and get fast passes for later. After EE we headed over to Kilimanjaro Safari. We had a good guide and saw a lot of active animals. Only the lions were sleeping.

With the safari over we went to Rafiki's Planet Watch and Conservation Station. This is one of our favorite areas. Jessica loves animals so this area suits her well. We also had a meet and greet with Jiminy Cricket. That was the first time I have seen that character.

It was nearing lunch time, we were planning on Flame Tree BBQ. It was so hot outside we decieded to head back to AKL and have lunch at The Mara. It was a good decision. The food was very good.

After lunch we went back to Kidani for a little rest. It was nice to be back in the air conditioning.

We were meeting up with other Intercotee's this afternoon. We were meeting at the Jambo House lobby. We got there a lot earlier to check out the lobby and gift shop.

Soon after we got there, we met up with Jennifer, Brian and their boys, Blythe, her DH and girls and Melanie and her DS. We had a very nice time and now I can't wait for the LMNOP meet next October. It was really nice to put a face with the screen name.

We all parted ways as we all had different dinner plans. We caught the bus to MK and took the Monorail to the Grand Floridian. We had ADR's for 1900 Park Fare. This turned out to be one of our favorites. The character interaction was fantastic. Jessica brought Mickey with her, and it was funny to see the reaction from the step sisters, and Lady Trumaine. It was just too funny. The food was very good, especially the salmon.

After dinner we walked around the stores and lobby taking it all in, then headed back home. I think the heat was getting to us as we didn't really want to do any parks in the evening.

All in all, a great day.
