Smile Family Reunion Trip Redoux - Day 6

    Me and DH
    DD – 15 and 14
    DS – 12
And 24 more grandparents, siblings, aunts and uncles, nephews and nieces, and cousins galore!

Epcot had morning EM hours today, and our goal was to get there early enough to ride Soarin’ We made it there around 8:30 and rode twice before the line got too long. We had an early FP+ for TSM at HS, so we took the ferry over. About halfway there, I was regretting it, feeling like we were spending a lot of time on this little trip – but once we got there, it was worth it to do TSM one more time!

We then ferried back immediately to meet family for QS lunch in Japan. The teriyaki was good, and the green tea ice cream was really different and excellent! The strawberry ice cream also got rave reviews. After lunch, we went back to the hotel to meet some family for a swim on their last day.

We had dinner at the Grand Floridian Café, via bus to MK and monorail to the GF. We had a party of 13, and several of us ordered various versions of the steak – cooked different, different sides. Our waiter was not there when the plates were delivered, and it was a big mess. Things were all scrambled, and steaks were not cooked properly. My steak was ordered medium but came brown all the way through. When the waiter realized what had happened, he was very concerned and made everything right. When my steak came back, it was excellent! I also had a bite of the surf and turf burger and it was very good. For dessert, I split the sampler with DD. It was all very good, but the mocha pot de crème was my absolute favorite. The sampler comes with a solid chocolate Mickey Mouse that is adorable. After dinner, we hit all the shops looking for pin trades. The lobby of the GF is gorgeous and it smells wonderful because of the Basin soap shop. The live music was very nice, too. From the GF, we hopped on a bus to DTD and did a lot more pin trading. I noticed a photo pass station later in the night, where they have a nice background for portraits. They were already closed when I noticed it, unfortunately – their hours were 9:30 am to 10 pm. We took the ferry home and hit the sack!

Do you remember where the photopass station is at DTD? I've never seen it there before!

If I remember right, the photopass spot is in the same building as guest services and right across from their desk, in a building across from the amphitheater on the water.
