Disney Hosts First-Ever "Once Upon A Wish Party" at Walt Disney World Resort

Making wishes and dreams come true is at the core of everything we do at Disney, and for more than 40 years, we’ve worked alongside our friends at Make-A-Wish to grant more than 150,000 Disney wishes together. To celebrate World Princess Week, Disney hosted one of our largest wish-granting events ever with the Once Upon A Wish Party at Walt Disney World Resort – a special event dreamed up just for wish kids and their families.

For more than 50 wish families from across the country attended this first-of-its-kind wish event. It was a full-day affair filled with enchanting surprises, inspiration and adventures for a hero or heroine, including a royal ball with favorite Disney characters.

Wishes have the power to renew hope and uplift spirits for children facing critical illnesses and their families. When you pair that with iconic Disney stories, characters and unmatched experiences, wishes help deliver joy when it’s needed most. It is really cool that they do this. I am sure it means the world to the children as well as their entire family to be able to get away and live the dream for a few days.
