rider swap for big kids?
So, my DS15 is refusing to ride Soarin' due to fear of heights. Can we rider swap while we ride with DD9? Is it better to leave him to wait alone? Or FP and one parent ride alone. Or is it safe to leave him alone to enjoy Innovations by himself while we ride? He's small for his age. HELP!! I'm so confused.

I think at 15, grab fast passes, and then when its time to ride, let DS roam innoventions maybe catch EO. We took a 14yr old in February, and we let her ride Mission Space by herself while I sat with the napping baby over near MouseGears. It was her first ever trip to Disney, and she did GREAT. As long as you have a plan ahead of time about where everyone should be and when to meet up, it should be no problem.

In Soarin', you can request to be on the bottom row, as well as close your eyes so you won't see the movie... Your family can then stay together!

I would think that a 15yo would be fine by himself for a short time. Just have a plan in place as to where to meet after your ride is done.

Thanks, everyone, I have a tendency to be overprotective, I need to let go.

So do I. But its Future world at Epcot. That is probably quite literally the safest place on earth :mickey:

I'm a protective mom too. I'd probably want my child in the same building. How about letting him ride Living With the Land then having a snack in the food court while he is waiting for you?
