Discovery
Island is the island "hub" of activity which leads to all the different
lands of adventure at the Animal Kingdom. Featured are live entertainment
and colorful animals (in costume) walking about. Also many colorful shops
and restaurants. Take time to look at the intricate detail of the buildings
and signs that Imagineers have skillfully constructed.
New at Discovery Island:
Wilderness Explorers! On the Oasis bridge, guests will
find W.E. Headquarters. This activity, inspired by Russell from "Up", allows
kids to become Wilderness Explorers and earn their very own badge! Kids take
an official pledge, and are given field guides with a list of challenges to
complete. Participation is free and up to 30 different badges can be
collected. This activity is geared towards kids 7-10 years old, but the
whole family will have fun helping complete the challenges.
