Kali
River Rapids
Originally dubbed Tiger River Rapids
the name was changed because there were no tigers to be seen. Kali River Rapids is a
little different because it takes you up a lift hill and sends you down a fairly
large drop. This whitewater adventure starts off peacefully,
drifing through through a bamboo tunnel surrounded by mist, and past the
ruins of an ancient shrine. However, in typical Disney fashion, this
ride's story take a dramatic turn. Someone here is up to no good,
logging and burning trees, ravaging the rainforest. The raft speeds up
and the drama unfolds as it approaches a tangled bunch of burning logs,
right in your path! The only way out is down, and this hill provides a
huge splash at the end.
