Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort

Located on Disney property in the Epcot Resort area, the Swan and Dolphin are sister resorts run by Starwood Hotel group. Although these resorts sit on Disney property, they are not owned or operated by Disney. However, guests at these resorts are able to take advantage of some Disney resort guest amenities, while staying in one of Walt Disney World's most convenient resort locations for a price often far lower than at the nearby Disney Deluxe resorts.

These sister resorts sit at the edge of Crescent Lake, along the waterway that leads to Disney's Hollywood Studios. Located within walking distance of both Epcot and the Studios, as well as Yacht & Beach Club Resorts, Boardwalk, and Fantasia Gardens, these two resorts sit on prime real estate. Rising up in shades of turquoise and salmon, these iconic buildings were designed by renowned architect Michael Graves. Graves was inspired by Florida's tropical landscape, which is evident in the design of the building exteriors. Each resort can be recognized by the 5 story statues that top it: dolphin fish at the Dolphin, and a pair of swans at the Swan.

These resorts share all amenities, including a feature pool with slide, a lap pool, fitness facility, tennis courts, volleyball court, Mandara Spa, nine restaurants, four lounges, arcades, a child care facility, playground, salon, and seven shops. In addition, there are convention facilities at the Dolphin.

Amenities such as Disney transportation, Extra Magic Hour, and Fastpass+ 60 day advance reservations are available to Swan & Dolphin guests. Four typical Disney services not offered are complimentary Theme Park Parking, the Disney Dining Plan, Disney's Magical Express, and luggage transfers, if you are changing resorts during your stay. There is also a parking fee here of $18 per day, as well as a daily resort fee of $25, so factor those into your calculations.

What can I expect to pay for a room?
Room rates start as low as $159 per night. Rates fluctuate wildly at these hotels, but discounts and seasonal special offers are plentiful. Special rates are available to AAA members, members of the military & Government employees, teachers, and nurses.

There are 1,509 rooms and 112 suites at the Dolphin. Rooms reflect fresh, contemporary sophistication. Light woods, artwork and room accents reflect the unique design of Michael Graves. Rooms at this resort feature double beds rather than queen beds. This is a large resort, and the walk to your room could be a long one! All rooms feature the "Heavenly" bed, which is a the signature bed of Westin brands worldwide. Deluxe pillow top mattresses and high thread count triple sheeting creates a bilssful sleeping experience, perfect after a long day in the parks.

Recreation:

 

Grotto Pool: 3 acre pool featuring rockwork, waterfalls, hot tubs, and a slide. Bridges and walkways traverse the area. There is a kiddie splash pool and a couple hot tubs in this area as well.
Lap Pools: There are two lap pools, one each at the Swan and Dolphin. These pools feature 25m lap lanes. There are hot tubs adjacent to the lap pools.
Beachside Playground: The playground is located near the Swan. It is modern and features climbing wall, bridges, slides, and more.
Watercraft Rentals: Swan shaped pedal boats can be rented from the marina located on the beach near the Grotto pool.
Sand Volleyball: There are two sand volleyball courts located on the beach.
Mini Golf: Disney's Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf course is located across the street from the Swan. There are two challenging courses to choose from, each themed to Disney's animated feature, Fantasia.
Fitness Center: The fitness center is located near the pool area at the Dolphin. The center features state of the art cardio and weight training equipment. A smaller fitness center can be found near Splash Terrace at the Swan.
Arcades: There are two arcades, one each at the Swan and Dolphin. Located near Picabu (Dolphin) and Splash Terrace (Swan).
Tennis anyone? There are four lighted courts located across the street from the Swan entrance, adjacent to the Fantasia Gardens mini golf course.

Water Volleyball
