Walt Disney World Pilots eTicket Program

Walt Disney World Resort is piloting Disney's eTicket, a new means of print at home ticket fulfillment, for guests who purchase tickets online via disneyworld.com. This new option will give guests the opportunity to print their tickets on their home printers and head directly to the theme park turnstiles without waiting in any will-call lines. During this pilot phase, the eTicket option will only be available for the remaining Pirate & Princess Parties on March 2, 5 & 8, 2007.

Alfredo di Roma Ristorante Closing!

Walt Disney World has announced that Alfredo di Roma Ristorante, a fixture at the Italy Pavilion in Epcot for over 20 years, is closing permanently at the end of July, 2007. There will be a replacement Italian restaurant opening in the same location, but at this time Disney has not released any further details. Guests who have advanced dining reservations beyond the closing date will be contacted by Disney in order to make alternate arrangements.

Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros

This April Donald Duck will debut in the "Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros" at Epcot's Mexico pavilion. Replacing "El Rio Del Tiempo", The "Gran Fiesta Tour" offers a new storyline and film starring Donald Duck, José Carioca, and Panchito. It will feature an animated overlay of the caballeros being reunited for a grand performance in Mexico City. Along the way, Donald disappears to take in the sights of the country, leaving José and Panchito to search for their missing friend. In addition to the new film, the boat ride's props, set facades and sound system are being  refurbished and enhanced.

Doubling the Disney Cruise Magic

President and CEO Bob Iger announced today, the Walt Disney Company plans to expand its successful cruise business by adding two new ocean liners. Scheduled to launch in 2011 and 2012, the ships will more than double the passenger capacity for Disney Cruise Line to meet the sustained demand for Disney's family cruise vacations. Specific design plans and itineraries for the yet-unnamed ships are still in development and will be unveiled at a later date.

New Disney Honeymoon Registry Debuts

Couples can now complete a wedding gift registry for elements to comprise an all-inclusive honeymoon to Walt Disney World Resort, in Florida, Disney Cruise Line and Disney Vacation Club. Gifts available on the registry range from dining, theme park tickets and resort accommodations to a personal safari, an after-hours visit to Magic Kingdom or a Disney Vacation Club membership. Atlanta Braves Spring Training Tickets on Sale

Through the month of March, the Atlanta Braves are at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex for their 10th Major League Baseball Spring Training session, including a 15-game home schedule against 10 major league opponents. Individual-game tickets can be purchased at the Disney's Wide World of Sports box office or through Ticketmaster at 407/839-3900. Prices range from $14 (general admission lawn seats) to $22.50 (lower reserved).

2007 Star Wars Weekend Dates Released

Once again, the power of the Force and the magic of Disney combine for the family-friendly fan-fest, scheduled for four consecutive weekends, beginning June 1, 2007 and running through June 24, 2007, at Disney's MGM Studios. The event includes special parades, trivia games, meet-and-greet sessions with Star Wars legends and characters and special themed activities. The weekend festivities take place on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and are included with regular theme park admission.
