Yes you can. You can send extra money in towards your room or you can give them cash at checkin. Each day, you can get a read out of what you have spent so far. You can always add more cash. Then, all you need to buy anything is your room ID card.
Although I think your question has been answered, I am going to move this over to Accommodations to keep things more organized in case others have the same question about the resorts.
WOW! This is GREAT! I didn't know you could do this! It will make things easier for us to set a spending limit and stick to it. If you decide that you want to give cash and have a limit, do you still have to give them a credit card? If someone could answer that, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

We went in June and stayed at the Wilderness
Lodge. I had sent money ahead and had a
credit balance when we arrived. I had to
leave a credit card imprint anyway. I don't
know if the CM was mistaken or that was the policy.
