Adding "1" to a res
Anyone have advice on adding one person to an existing reservation. We tried for days to get a party of 9 in at Boma, and just scored for a party of 8. Has anyone had luck adding one person to a reservation? Or do we just show up and play dumb?

I would try calling and see if the can get you a reservation for 9. If you just show up and try to add 1 you may not be able to. It is easy for them to take a 1 less in a party but very hard for them to add 1 at check in.

It is totally hit or miss. Sometimes they can fit in an extra person, and other times they can't, or it will be a very long wait.
Things like going from 6 or 7 or from 8 to 9 are often harder than going from 3 to 4, since you'll need a larger table, and depending on where your table is located, you can't always just add a person to the end, etc.
So, long story short ... maybe? I'd keep looking for a reservation for 9 or 10 (Disney seems to do better with even numbers), with just showing up as a last resort. Sometimes calling gets better results than trying to do it yourself online.

Maybe it was because our dining party was 3, but in May 2021 when we did the online check in at Disney operated places the App allowed adjusting the party size by +/- 1 person.

When we were there a couple of weeks ago, there were signs there that said you could add 1 additional person.
I'll meet you at the Rainbow Bridge.
