Scooter Rentals
Does anyone have a scooter rental company they recommend for Disney World? We've used Apple in the past and have always been happy with them but the last trip the battery kept dying and when we called them they swapped the scooters out but gave us a smaller model than what we paid for. I may give them a second chance unless I find someone comparable to them that's highly recommended. Thoughts....

On our most recent trip - October 2019, I rented from ScooterBug for my mother. We had a charging issue and they swapped it out for us at the park. Inconvenient but easily handled. And we found out from the employee who delivered it that it was likely just the new model which is weight sensitive and requires you to be seated before starting it to show actual charge level but despite this fact he exchanged it anyway without hesitation. My only issue with the scooter was that it had no headlight which really was a nuisance for my mother who already struggles to see at night. We did love the ease of use and steering radius - very easy to maneuver in the parks/lines.
In 2018, we rented from Walker Mobility. This scooter was a little larger and also was easy to use. We had no issues with the delivery, pickup or use so no information on how that would be if there was any issues. The model we had did have a headlight, which mom preferred. I would not hesitate to use either companies again.

Anyone but Apple! We had TWO horrible experiences with them (we were silly enough to give them a second chance after issues the first time and they were no better).
We have used Gold Mobility and it was perfect. Seriously, perfect. They met us exactly when they said they would, the ECV was in pristine condition and we didn't have a single issue with it. We've also used (before Gold) Buena Vista and was pleased as well. The ECV was a bit older, but no issues with it or battery life.

I'm another loyal and happy Gold Mobility customer. Although they don't drop off the scooter and allow you to leave it at bell services, they met me as I got off the ME bus, and picked up the scooter at the ME bus stop minutes before it arrived. My scooter was in excellent condition and all have a charging port on them for your cell phone, a lifesaver! Also included a cup holder. The only downside for some is that their minimum rental charge is for one week. But they're one of the least expensive, and best quality.

We've used Gold Mobility twice and have been very pleased. If you are staying at least a week, they seem to have the best price -- $179 for up to 7 days rental.

There was a recent announcement saying Disney resorts wouldn't be doing that anymore, but I haven't heard much. It sounds like they're changing it over to where the guest needs to arrange to be there for pick-up and drop-off - unless you are using the vendor Scooterbug. We've never rented through them, so I'm not sure of their products or service. They appear to be the only 'partner' Disney works with through Bell Services.
