Beauty and the Beast
My dd and I saw this movie Sunday. I took her to see the original when she was 3. So it was awesome to relive it 25 years later. It was amazing. Could not believe what a great job they did. Will definitely be seeing it again.

We saw it last week and greatly enjoyed it though I was surprised at how closely it follows the animated version.

The wife and I saw it last week. She really liked it but I thought the Mrs. Potts, Lumiere, Cogsworth, etc., were a little creepy. Even the Beast and Kevin Kline's "Maurice" were a little off putting. I guess the animated version will always be my favorite. That being said, Emma Watson and Philippe the Horse did a great job.

Just saw the movie today. It was really good. I was a little disappointed in the "ballroom" scene. The animated version was beautiful compared to the live action version

Watched the DVD last night... I'm about to say something that may not sit well with some of you but... I was highly disappointed in the live action flick... The animated movie is one of, if not my favorite of all the Disney animated movies... The soundtrack was fantastic, the story was great...
The live action??? Not impressed... I'm cool with changing up the songs a bit - adding lyrics, changing lyrics - but the songs were not my issue... The story felt, I don't know, different... Didn't feel as if it was cohesive at all.. At times, I felt the story was all over the place... And I really was not impressed with the acting...
I love Emma Watson... And I don't think she was the problem... Not sure she would have been my first choice for Belle, but she did a good job... Luke Evans as Gaston? BAD! Josh Gad as LeFou? HORRIBLE... Sorry, I don't think Gad is a good actor... AT ALL... And I like Luke Evans, but I don't think of him as Gaston... Especially since Gaston is supposed to be this tall, muscular freak of nature.... Something Luke Evans is not... Now, I did like him as Dracula in Dracula Untold... Too bad that movie under performed... Doubt Universal will bring him back to play Dracula in their Dracula reboot as part of their monster Dark Universe....
Over all, I felt the live action was just meh... I wanted to love it... I just couldn't...
Son of Jor-El.. Kneel before Zod...
TRICIA JONES: I heard that you were going to propose to Brandi Svenning at some theme park. When are men going to learn that women want ROMANCE, not Mr. Toad's Wild Ride...
BRODIE: Hey, now, be fair. EVERYONE wants Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

Still see different cgi jokes in this film such as in the "Be Our Guest" number as Lumiere sings "after all this is France" he passes a guillotine that closes

We just watched it on demand about a month ago after my children's school did a production of Beauty and the Beast Jr. It was very good and now wished we had seen it on the big screen.
