Coronado Springs
How is Coronado Springs?? It says they are doing renovations. Has anyone stayed there lately? We're thinking of staying here for a few nights in November and also at Pop Century.

Should be close to finishing by then, from what I understand... and what they're working on is the Tower... mostly.

They have 5 buildings left to renovate and at 3-4 months per building, they have over a year to go

We will be staying there next week. I will post how it was when we get back

Just returned from 9 nights at Coronado Springs resort. We had a great stay. We were in Casitas #2 and renovated room. The room was very nice. No carpet a faux wood flooring. I found the bed to be a little high for me. But can store stuff under the bed. Very nice walk in shower.
The construction never bothered us. We never heard it at all. The work 6 days a week it seems. But not past around 6 pm. We did see them working at around 8:30 am one morning but it wasn't loud.
We waived housekeeping this trip for the gift card. I will never do that again!! We had problems getting fresh towels and the trash emptied. Both thing we were told would require just a phone call. Took two days for towels and three days for the trash. Plus with the faux wood floor it really needed to be swept or mopped while we were there. If we walked barefoot in the room when you stepped in the shower you left dirty foot prints. We received the under construction pin set. Cute set! We plan on staying there again in November

I hadn't heard about this idea of waiving housekeeping for a gift card. What's the deal? I don't think I'd do it either - and I really wonder about the impact that has on jobs! - but I'm interested to know if this is all resorts and how much they give you.

It depends on the resort you are at if you are able to waive housekeeping. The amount of the gift card depends on how many nights you stay. The still enter every room at the resort once a day. We did see two managers doing this on two different mornings. If you waive housekeeping they will not clean your room during your stay. You are suppose to be able to easily request towels and they are suppose to give you large clear trash bags. You put your used towels in a bag and trash in another and set them outside your door for pick up. Once they got it working right for us we had a bunch of towels. Problem is with the newly renovated rooms that have no carpet the floor gets dirty. My husband walked across the floor and into the shower and left huge black foot prints in the shower. I had Clorox wipes with us so I wiped down the floor in the bathroom area. But the rest of the floor was showing dust before we left. I am hoping they mop down the floor after every guest but do not know. I did not see anyone with a housekeeping cart that had a mop on it or any way to wash the floor. We really enjoyed the resort just not to sure that we would waive housekeeping again and am concerned about the how often those floors are mopped

You store stuff under the bed? Any issues? Forgetting stuff, cleanliness, bringing home unwanted guests?

Glad to hear the construction is not intrusive. We're only staying for 3 nights so we'll probably waive the housekeeping. I cannot wait to try this resort.

We did not store stuff under the bed. Just noticed that a suitcase or stroller would fit under there. If anything was put under there by the end of our 9 day stay I am pretty sure it would have been dusty
