Disney officials are investigating a photo circulating on social media of a man holding a piece of metal, which he claims “flew off the monorail at Epcot.”
“We were leaving Epcot at 12:55 pm walking to our car. We were directly under the monorail looking at it pass over us. It started making sounds and some little pieces flew off then the bigger piece flew off,” said Jim Parker, who posted the photo. “Thankfully we were more to the left and it went right.”
Parker posted on Twitter that employees he spoke to said they “thought it was an electrical part from the track.”
Colon said Disney is “looking into” the validity of the photo.
Monorail Service has reportedly been restored.

We were leaving the MK on the monorail today around noon. it pulled out of the station very slowly. the pilot made an announcement that inspectors were looking under the monorail a part of routine maintenance. "something we do all the time," he said.
