Orlando Sanford Airport
Hi everyone, I'm possibly going to get a Disney trip this year and was looking at air fare. Allegiant is quite cheap but they fly into Orlando Sanford airport. Does Disney offer Magical Express from this one? Has anyone ever flown Allegiant? Are they ok?

No magical express from Sanford. Allegiant is among the "no frills" airlines out there. Their base fares are cheap but they tend to charge extra for everything, from choosing a seat to carry on bags to drinks on board. Make sure you know the FULL cost of the flight and factor in transportation from the airport

We loved flying Allegiant, they were fine with no hidden costs, every extra cost was up front. We used them when they used to fly into MCO. If you use them the taxi cost from Sanford to Disney Property is approx. $50.

We love Allegiant. They fly direct from Greenville, SC to Orlando/Samford and are pretty cheap. They do charge for checking bags and for carry ons. Great service, though. The only downside is that sometimes their flight schedule doesn't match our travel dates. To save on fees, go to the airport to buy your tickets.

As stated previously here, you need realize up front that you'll have to pay for extras (like booking fees if you don't buy at the airport, luggage, seats, etc). If you don't need much luggage or don't care about seats, it might not be that much of an upcharge. When we've flown them, it's worked out fine for us. We only had one problem with them - and that was when the plane broke down before our flight - they are very small and don't have easy access to an alternate plane like some of the larger carriers might have. So our flight was cancelled and we were offered seats on a plane 2 days later - we made alternate arrangements.
But sometimes when you look at the whole picture, including the availability of ME at Orlando (which sounds like it would save you more money), it could be another airline is cheaper. You'd have to decide that!
