People also aren't flocking to Anaheim like they are to Orlando
Orlando broke a record for tourism in 2014... People are going to Orlando.. And Disneyland's attendance dropped in 2014, according to Iger and TWDC... So people aren't flocking there to see Captain America... But, they do seem to be going to Universal, where not only can they meet Cap, they can meet Spiderman and ride several Marvel attractions.. really can't say that about Disneyland... yet...

Thank goodness Disneyland attendance has dropped! It needed to! The suits over there have been TRYING to lower attendance numbers over there. Glad to hear it is working.

Nintendo has so many themes and characters that would make great rides, attractions, shows or themes. Mario will be the center piece of course, but Zelda, Metroid, Kirby, Starfox, Luigi, MarioKart, Pokemon could all drop easily into the parks and be a great addition.
Looks like I'm going to have to get a second job so I'll have enough $$$ to buy all the souvenirs. I was able to spread my Harry Potter purchases over two visits. I don't think I'll have enough self control to pull off the same feat for Nintendo!

After 20+ years of playing Mario Kart, I will seriously do backflips if they do an attraction. Oh please oh please oh please. I'm excited about this. Huge overall Mario/Zelda fan.

Remember when the rumor was going around about the JP expansion involving an amber mine family coaster attraction? And obviously, didn't happen... Speculation is it didn't happen cause Universal Creative is using Donkey Kong as a possible mine cart coaster attraction...
Personally, I'd rather them use the mine cart coaster, if they were to use it, for Donkey Kong... And if Jurassic World is successful enough, use the gyro-sphere as a basis for a new ride vehicle for some sort of new attraction...

That is only online speculation... Some insiders were putting together why the Amber mine coaster was cancelled in JP, and think Donkey Kong mine coaster may be a reason...
All they are saying is this company called Mack is involved in building a coaster style attraction for the Nintendo land... Speculation is a suspended Mack coaster, family friendly...

LOL! Everyone will love the ride until their kart is hit with a blue shell and they have to pull to the side while the rest of the coaster speeds by. I wonder how I'll toss my controller and say inappropriate words then?

Any guesses about when all of this will be done? We are planning a 2017 trip.
I'll meet you at the Rainbow Bridge.

All we have is speculation at the moment, and the speculation is Nintendo will be the 2018 offering at Universal...
2016: Kong, and MAYBE the Jimmy Fallon Soarin style attraction replacing Twister (providing this is still a thing)
2017: Fast and Furious replacing Disaster/San Francisco area, new water park..
2018: Nintendo family friendly area replacing KidZone...
But again, this is just speculation... Except for Kong, we know that is coming in 2016... And Nintendo will more than likely be built before anything Star Wars related comes to DHS (looking at 2020/2021 time frame for Star Wars)...

Good info to know. The kids are split right now. One wants to go in May, 2017 for Star Wars Weekends. Another wants to go in Oct, 2017 for MNSSHP. Progression on Nintendo land may be enough for the third child who doesn't care at this point to have an opinion. With my luck, it won't be done until late 2018, and then I'll have three different votes. :P

I've been saying on here for years that Disney has to beat Universal to the video game market. Oh well, maybe they'll see this and feel the need to get with xbox or something. A Halo attraction would be pretty sweet.

Uh...no. I completely think Disney was wise to not go after this. They've got enough to develop with Marvel and Star Wars on their list of properties.

Disney does have their own video games they could use.

Yeah but besides Infinity, none of them are actually any good. They are incorporating Infinity on the cruise line for now.
