I'll be in WDW for 10 days in the fall with friends - one in a scooter. Ive seen areas marked for handicapped viewing and am curious how those areas work. Can someone bring me up to speed please?
If an adult in a scooter accompanied by many other adults, they will let one person join them in the handicapped area...not the entire party. At least that has been our experience.

I have noticed..and thank goodness..that one family member only along with scooter. I never understood why the whole family should be with the person on scooter.
I do think this is enforced. All can meet up after the show.
First off, for fireworks there are no disability sections as the entire street is accessible.
For parades, there are 3 sections. The wheelchair or scooter can come in and up to 5 additional guests can come in with the disability guest. Those additional guests are asked to be behind the disability vehicle.
