INTERCOT Runs to Fight Thyroid Cancer
Your $10 Donation Can Make a Difference!
This year as in the past, INTERCOT will be participating in Walt Disney's World's Marathon Weekend January 7-11 as a group. We call it #runICOT, and we're running with a purpose!
As you may recall, last year INTERCOT's founder John Yaglenski announced he had Thyroid Cancer. This came as quite a shock as he had no symptoms whatsoever. After surgery to remove his thyroid and follow-up care, John is doing well - but he wanted to rally the INTERCOT Community to help fight this disease and remind you to "Get a Neck Check!" Thyroid cancer is the fastest increasing cancer in both men and women.
To help raise funds and awareness, we're asking you to donate $10 or more and you'll get a #runICOT Awareness Band. 100% of proceeds will go to benefit ThyCa - The Thyroid Cancer Survivors' Association. Donations can be made here: http://www.intercot.com/shop/donate/band.asp
INTERCOT is also selling a 4 Pack of T-shirts for Marathon Weekend, one for each day of the run along with a special ICOT Awareness Band. Again, all proceeds go to ThyCa. Colors of the shirts those of Thyroid Cancer Awareness (Purple, Pink and Teal) and INTERCOT blue. These 4 high quality microfiber running shirts together cost only $80 for adults ($72 kids) and You can find them in the INTERCOT Store here: http://intercot.com/shop/apparel/ROYGBIVrunICOT.asp
You can also buy single #runICOT shirts in any of the colors here:
