Getting from AK to Downtown Disney

Is there a bus that goes from AK to DD or should we plan on taking a taxi? Thanks

I'm not 100% sure but I don't think the bus is running from DAK to DTD anymore. They did that with a short-term experiment last year and I'm fairly certain it was discontinued and no longer running. Hopefully someone else will know for sure.

After the park we head over to AKL and get the bus from there to DTD

Chris is correct. The direct bus is no longer running. There are several ways to get there:

- Take a bus to any resort (All Stars would be a good choice) and board a DTD bus there.

- Take a bus to Saratoga Springs and walk from there.

- Take a taxi. There are usually taxis available near the AK entrance.

We found it to be about a 10 minute walk from the SSR main building to get to the West Side of DTD near the House of Blues

I usually make AKL a stop on my MK days. I enjoy exploring the resort, unwinding from a day at the park, and having a drink, snack, or meal there before heading to our next destination. You could consider doing something like that to end your AK day before switching gears. We've had excellent meals at Boma, Jiko, and Sanaa... or even grabbing something quick service at the Mara. And then get on the DTD bus from there.

Or if you wanted a fast door to door, Saratoga Springs would be the best bet as long as you knew the best stop to get off for walking to DTD. Otherwise, I would go for the fastest approaching resort bus with the shortest line and change buses there.
