Queen Beds at CBR

Can anyone tell me who is currently at CBR or has just left there how far they are on getting Queen beds in the rooms?

We will be there in November and there will be 4 of us and an infant in a room. My husband and I are thinking of getting our own room but if the queen beds will be done then maybe it will be okay. We are staying in a preferred section.

We are going Nov 20-30th and was wondering the same thing. Sure would be nice to have the queen beds.

Word has it they have started in Jamaica. It would be nice if they would start with the preferred buildings since those guests are paying more. I have no idea in which direction they plan to go, nor have I seen any rumors of building order.

Any word yet from anyone on how the bed replacement is going. I am debating if I should wait and just keep us all in the same room if we have queen beds or if I should just go ahead and get a second room.

I saw some pics of the renovated rooms at CBR on another site. While I can't tell in the pics if the beds are now queen, the person who posted them said they were indeed queen sized mattresses.

Also, while I haven't seen any photos of a completed room with the murphy beds like at POR, I did see a pic of a room with the beds unmade, just mattresses on top of the bed frame. And on top of one of the beds was a small sized mattress that looked exactly like the ones at Riverside. I think it's safe to say that some of the rooms at CBR will accommodate 5 once the refurb is complete. As of now it doesn't look like you can book 5 to a room, but hopefully soon. And like Riverside, not all rooms will accommodate 5. The completed room I saw pictures of did not sleep 5.

I am reading that Jamaica buildings 41, 42 and 43 are complete. Building 44 is near complete, and 45 and 46 are just getting started. So I would guess that all of Jamaica should be done by the end of the month, give or take. It doesn't look like anyone, other than Disney, has any idea which "island" is next.

Guests have confirmed that the new beds are queen. And it's also been confirmed that there will be Murphy beds exactly like at POR in some of the rooms. Guests have already stayed in at least one of the rooms with a Murphy bed. This info. as well as photos of the Murphy bed are from another site so I am not allowed to post the site on here.

I've seen the pictures of the refurbed rooms and I like them! We're staying there in October and booked a standard room. I don't really care if we get a refurb or not and we won't need the murphy bed. There are a lot of people on other sites getting very excited about them.

I really like the new look too. Those Nemo rooms were so out dated if you ask me. These look more upscale, fresh and clean. Only thing missing, in my opinion, is just a little more color. But overall I think these rooms are a huge improvement.

I agree...I keep hoping they'll add a dust ruffle or a runner ala Coronado Springs. It looks very bland to me. I almost prefer the color, as dated as it was.

They did add a colored runner. It appears to be a dark orange and green. The curtains are also orange with a darker orange print along the bottom. It definitely added some needed color, but I wish they had gone with a tad bit brighter color scheme. I was imagining a deep teal or turquoise and orange maybe. Overall, it's definitely an improvement to what it is replacing. I despised those Nemo bedcovers. And even tho those were added maybe 5 years ago, they gave the room a much more outdated look.

After taking a second look at the new rooms I feel the rooms have more of a Polynesian feel than Caribbean. Seems like they used a similar color scheme as the recently updated rooms at the Polynesian.

My mom and I said the exact same thing! Should we clue them in that those two areas are in different parts of the world?

I did find the updated pics with the runner and while it did add color, it's not at all what I think of when I think Caribbean. My family and I are not crazy about the interior at all. However, we love the exterior and the pool, as well as the steel drum music and ambiance, so I think we're going to leave our ressie as is.
