Spirit ofAloha...how's it work?
We're going back! No words for how excited we are! It's been a while and we're going to try a couple new things. Spirit of Aloha is one of them!
When's good to go? Where is good to sit? silly question too, but is it one or two dining credits? And how long does it last...would watching Wishes from the beach be a possibility?

Never would be too soon for me, it's not a very well liked activity.

I think Seating is determined by Tier as well as time of booking. At least if it's anything like HDDMR. Hoop dee Do would be my choice if you wanted to see a dinner show.

It's two credits, and last I checked, the DP only allowed you to choose Tier 2 and Tier 3. This may have changed, I really try NOT to keep up with the dining plan, it's a bad value if you ask me.

I was dying to leave, the dessert kept me from going, and when it came, I wished I had left. I think it's a couple of hours.

All depends, at busy times, I've heard the they monitor the beaches at the Poly to make sure they have room for guests of the Poly. We've watched them from the beach once or twice, not a fan of it. The view is much better closer to MK. If you're trying to save an admission to the park, then it's not bad, but not a replacement for actually being front and center at the castle.

Not a favorite of ours either since they changed to the current show. I would head to the Hoop D Do.

We did the Spirit of Aloha dinner show twice. We enjoyed the show and the food. We didn't sit in the front and we could still see just fine. The show is on a stage.
The only draw back is that you are at the mercy of the weather. It was pretty hot during our shows ( in June ). It could also rain. You are in a covered pavilion, but I'm not sure if the show would go on during the rain. We like this show.
It is 2 credits.

Thanks - maybe we'll give it a pass. Don't think we'd bother with Hoop de Hoo - not that appealing to us. Maybe it's just back up to the Cali Grill for us!

I thought it was only ok. The food was good, but the show was really not all that different from the Polynesian show we could see at a local place back home.
Seating is assigned, I'm not familiar with what tier is where.
Dinner shows are 2 credits.
I think it's between an hour and a half and 2 hours.
If you go to the earlier show (I think there are still two showings) Wishes might be possible.
I agree with others who have suggested the HDDMR. It's great fun, and the food while nothing fancy is good. Also we did Mickey's Backyard BBQ last time and it was fun.

If you've never been to the Hoop Dee Doo, I'd say give it a try. I think it will surprise you and you'll like it. We love it....laugh the entire show. It's 2 TS credits but worth it....I think!

LOVE LOVE LOVE the Luau!!! My family and I have enjoyed it several times over the last few years. Each time we have paid for Category one seating so I am partial to that. As for the rain.. it POURED last year when we went. They gave us ponchos to wear to get to the ceremonial house and yes it rained thru the entire show, but we were covered and the show still went on as usual. They only noticable thing that was different was that guests weren't asked to go on stage to dance.
If you go to the late show(depending on the time of year) You should have a chance to sit on the beach to watch wishes, Wishes was happening just as we exited. We were able to sit right at the beach for it to finish.
We prefer the late show to the early show only for the effects of the flame thrower.
It's always an awesome show for us. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

It's on our list of never to do's again !! It was terrible, from the cheezy show to the lousy food. The bread was the best and even it was just ok. We left early, as it was so hot and such a feeling of a monumental waste of time !!
