I have never done it. The shame! Although, I've never really been able to, since I've always had little ones with me in the past. No kids this time means I can do whatever I want! LOL!
Anyway, I am definitely doing this tour. I'd be willing to coordinate this if we can get a solid group together who wants to do it on the same day. I'm not really sure how Disney handles a group that wants to do the tour, but I will find out. As far as I know, it is a walking tour that is 2-3 hours in length (can the Senioritas confirm?), similar to the Keys to the Kingdom Tour at WDW's MK. The most interesting part is you get to go INSIDE Walt's personal apartment above the firehouse. I have always wanted to go in there!
Right now, I'm probably in for Oct 21-28 as well. Just confirmed with my husband that it will be okay for him to be off work Tues-Tues.

Walk in Walt's Disneyland Footsteps walking tour was closer to 3-3.5 hours every time I've taken it. It does include several rides (those have varied) and lunch (you chose from their menu when you check in). When I have done it I would estimate that there were about 12-16 people in the group. As a general rule I think the tour runs twice a day, daily. I have always taken the morning tour. Annual Passholders receive a 20% discount.

Awwww. That's really too bad, Christine. I was thinking how nice it would be for you to be at the resort away from a race weekend.

"Poo!" is right. Don't you know the 3rd time would be the charm?

We did the Walk in Walt's footsteps a few years ago and it did not include his private office. Just a quick peak at the Club 33 lobby. We would be interested in doing it again with the group.

Looks like you guys have a great group to do Walk in Walt's Footsteps. Thanks Nat for taking the lead on this. It's a wonderful tour and any and all true Walt Disney enthusiasts should not miss out, especially with the addition of the apartment. I was actually a little shocked at how emotional I got in there, and they don't rush you in and out either. We were in there at least 15 minutes. We had excellent guides who you could tell really loved Walt Disney and Disneyland as much as we do.
It is a full walking tour to all areas of the parks, and the attractions included for us were Peter Pan and Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. When we did it many years back, I remember doing Tiki Room, so it does change. Our lunch was in a pretty courtyard there by Town Hall where you check in for the tour.

There is indeed a 20% discount on the tour through Disney Visa. Looks like each cardholder can book up to 10 people on the tour using the discount so that is great! I have a Disney Visa and I will also have an Annual Pass so we should be covered. Once we have a solid group interested, we can narrow down to a date and time and I will book it for us!

I'm out for the Footsteps tour. I've done it a couple of times. HIGHLY recommend it. Looking to do the Cultvating the Magic and the Happiest Haunts next trip, if it works out.

As am I, since we just did it. Funny, I've only done one tour EVER in a Disney park, and it's this one. And we've done it 3 times! I think I need to branch out some.
-
I'll skip the Footsteps tour this time as I've done it three times as well. That in itself is an endorsement for those of you who have never done it, or have not done it since Walt's apartment was added. DO IT!
Carol, I think the Cultivating Tour looks interesting. I might try it this spring or summer.

I've actually never done the tour at Disneyland. I might be in for it, as I'm just down the street, but I'll have to let you know as it gets a little closer. I would love to get to one of the parks for some of the meets. I always end up working. I've only met Mel and Michael in the past.
