Default Eating at a few new places please tell me how they are

I am not going to do the dining plan in the first time since it began for this upcoming trip. I decided to book a few new places because we are getting sick of the same old thing. How are the following restaurants and how kid friendly are they?

    I booked:
    Citricos for Dinner
    Hollywood Brown Derby for Dinner

I am considering dropping our reservation at Ohana's because we did it on our last trip and instead book Narcoosees. How is Narcoosees for adults and kids? Thanks!

On our trip in December 2013 we tried Narcoosees for the very first time. It will be a must visit for us in the future.

Kid friendly? I think that most, if not all, restaurants at WDW are kid friendly. There were children there while we were having dinner and they seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Brown Derby is a place that we have eaten at every time we go to WDW. There are always kids there so sure there are items for them to enjoy.

I enjoy Citrico's, Brown Derby & Narcoosee's. We most recently ate at Brown Derby (December, 2013) and had a lovely meal there.

Whenever I ask my husband where he wants to dine, he inevitably brings up Citrico's.

I like the Cob salad at Brown Derby but I haven't had it in a while.

Kid friendly, really depends on the kids. Mostly all WDW restaurants welcome children, but Citricos is one of the places where I haven't seen many kids, to be honest. It doesn't mean not to bring them or that they won't like it, it's just one of the finer dining places that don't offer entertainment or special things for kids. They do offer a children's menu. I love Citricos. Excellent food, more creative cuisine, and the setting is a little quieter and more intimate than most WDW restaurants.

Hollywood Brown Derby is good, probably more kid friendly than Citricos. It's bright and open, and occasionally visited by DHS "streetmosphere" performers. One of my favorite DHS places.

Of the finer dining at the Grand Floridian, Narcoossee's is a little more relaxed than Citricos, not quite as as quiet and intimate but still lovely. Another place where you probably don't find as many kids, but I have seen plenty of families with children here. Very good food and service.

One of the things that can make Narcoosees a little more Kid friendly is to book your ressie during wishes. People tend to congregate outside the windows of the restaurant so the view from inside is hit or miss but restless kids can go outside and see a spectacular view of the fireworks, then come back in for dessert.

The food BTW is very good and the wine list is also quite impressive.

I have always liked Brown Derby but i am now more likely to make my ressie for lunch. I just think there are better places for ambience at dinner.

    Enjoy!!!

Narcoossee's is our favorite restaurant on site, and we never miss it on our trips! I enjoy 'Ohana as well, but if I ever have to choose between the two, Narcoossee's wins every time! Enjoy your time, whichever you decide!

    We love Narcoosee's

The last time we were there our DD then 3 was bushed from all the "magic" at MK Our Waiter "Chevy" brought over a folded Table Cloth for her to use as a pillow till her food arrived.. that 15 minute rest/nap did the trick.

    Kid Friendly... Yep.

I had my glass of wine, Surf and Turf, French press coffee, dessert and walked outside after and had a great spot for the electric water parade.

All positive all 3 times we ate there.

First reservation I make when get 180 days out.

    One more point...

If you happen to be at Magic Kingdom that day... take the boat/ferry from MK to GF. It drops you off right by Narcoosee's. It'll save you a little walking and it's ..well ... kinda cool to get of a quiet boat ride and head right into a fine dining restaurant...

My wife and I did a date night at Narcoossee's while the kids stayed at the Neverland club. It was a nice relaxing evening and we would return in a heart beat. We were there with a window seat during the electric light parade. I saw kids there but they weren't running around like they can at Ohana's.
