Default Typhoon Lagoon at Opening or mid-afternoon?

We will be visiting during the last week of August for the first time so we are planning to visit Typhoon Lagoon for the first time. I see conflicting reports as to the best time of day to visit from a crowd perspective. Some say to go at opening and stay until lunch or so. Others say to go in mid-afternoon and many people will have left. So that crowds are thin by then. From we have heard crowds in general during the last week of August are not typical high summer crowds so hopefully that will help. But what is your experience as to the best time of day to visit a water park???

We typically use a water park day as a day to take it easy, sleep in, and relax. Therefore we never get to the water parks till around lunch, or after. Sometimes the parks have been busy, but never so bad that we couldn't have fun, and we have always been able to find a spot or two to put our belongings. We have found that after lunch the longer we stay the less people seem to be there, so it appears that a lot of guests head out mid afternoon.

This past June we went to Blizzard Beach first. We spent half the day there. We did everything and had lunch there. Then we hopped on a bus to Typhoon Lagoon and spent the rest of the day there.Crowds weren't bad at all.Hope this helps.
