    Post Same Day admission question

If our family gets a 6 day Park ticket, but only the base ticket and not the park hopper option...if we leave a park mid-day for a break, but then in the evening we go to a different park than we were at in the morning what happens?

Will the result be that it uses up another "day" from our 6 day admission ticket...or will we be unable to go to a different park that day since we do not have the park hopper option.

    Thanks for you answers.

You cannot use the ticket for a second park in the same day. Reason... after 4 days the increase in price in the ticket is $10/day. They want you to spend the $59 for the park hopper.

Yes, they will deny you admission to the second park without the parker hopper option. You can return to the same park you visited earlier in the day.

Disney executives are jerks in that respect but unfortunately for the Customer facing CM who bear the brunt of customer complaints on it . I think some one entertained the idea of a suit against Disney for this practice but it quickly fizzled.

The only time you can go from one park to another on the same day WITHOUT a park hopper is when you buy a hard ticket, such as the Christmas or Halloween party. Again, you're spending money to switch - that's all they're asking for.

There may be good reasons to call the Disney bean counters jerks, but this is not one of them. Disney offers a park hopping option. If you want it, then pay the price. In the grand scheme of things, it isn't that expensive. Oh, and as far as a lawsuit, it would be thrown out for the simple reason that Disney offers options and it is a private enterprise. Bottom line, if you don't like the pricing policy, go somewhere else.

I can see why they don't allow that. I think the park hopper is an excellent value and this would defeat the purpose.

I think the Magic Your Way ticket as well as the Park Hopper option are great deals when you consider that the alternative would be paying full price each day.... YIKES!

...and that's if you buy a one-day ticket or a ten-day ticket. The park-hopper option is one price; not $59 "per day".
