door decorations at resorts?

Hi everyone! We are going to WDW for our first DVC visit this week and are so excited! We signed up this past February while on a cruise on the Dream and quickly noticed all of the members door decorations! I was wondering if that is done at the resorts as well?

I'm afraid the doors at the resorts are not so easy to decorate as they are not magnetic in the same way as the cruise ships. It is not usual to see many decorations anywhere except for events like Christmas or Halloween where members may decorate their balconies or put up lights.

Actually, it's against DVC rules. Not allowed. Because it destroys the theming of the resort.
