Should have made a third option for both..
Son of Jor-El.. Kneel before Zod...
TRICIA JONES: I heard that you were going to propose to Brandi Svenning at some theme park. When are men going to learn that women want ROMANCE, not Mr. Toad's Wild Ride...
BRODIE: Hey, now, be fair. EVERYONE wants Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

I agree with Diz. That is the good thing about Disney World. I love the mix. I wouldn't want one without the other.
Formerly luvinmesomedisney. Someone in the family turned off my "remember me" button and I forgot ME. Forgot my password so had to use a different name.

Got to agree with DF2K2....
I'm not much of a "thrill" seeker, but the mix that Disney has balances out the dark rides and none are "over the top, scare the *bleep* out of you" thrills.

Hmmmmmmmmm tricky. Depends on your definition of thrill. For me BTMR is a thrill but to quote one teen as I got off "LAME" I loved it, one of my favourates.

I love both....Splash Mountain is the perfect attraction...both a dark ride and thrill.
But, Overall, I'll go with dark....H.M., Pirates...pooh,Peter Pan...
S.S.E. the list goes on and on concerning great dark rides...The new Ariel ride in Fantasyland is also fantastic!!
I also consider The Land a great dark ride.
Tower Of Terror also has a great dark ride feel to it.

After my first three trips, all of my favorite rides were Thrill Rides, but these last two trips gave me a greater appreciation for Dark Rides, and that's what I voted for. I don't know if it's because I'm getting older, but I think the Dark Rides have so much more detail and imagination to them, and I love it.

I am a ride wimp. I went with the dark rides. I like the theming, thought and imagination that go into that type of attraction.

I went with dark rides. Of my favorite rides, they all seem to be the dark rides.

Hybrid ~ Dark Thrill
Space Mountain, ToT, BTMRR at night, Splash Mountain, Test Track, Toy Story Mania, Malestrom, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride etc.
The list goes on, the more you think about it you'll quickly see that many elements of the term "thrill" can come from the Dark or the unknown. I'd assume the new mine train ride would fall into that category as well.
Seems many of the classic/iconic attractions can be designated as pure Dark Ride, Haunted Mansion, Pirates, and Spaceship Earth.
