Default Emergency Trip- Epcot Food and Wine

I surprised my wife with a long weekend trip to WDW later this month for our 1st wedding anniversary (it's where I proposed and where we honeymooned).

Its going to be the start of the Epcot Food and wine. Any advice? We've never been.

We have only 3 days in WDW. Of which, only 2 during the festival. We are doing to do 1 day DHS, then thinking Friday at Epcot and Saturday at MK.

    Thanks!

Advise: enjoy, have fun, and beware of the drunks LOL... If you have the budget for it, try a few of the food offerings from the countries... Warning: they are pretty expensive... Take in one of the concerts, not sure who is playing the weekend you are there... and enjoy the atmosphere of the Food and Wine... Honestly, Food and Wine (and Flower and Garden too) are nice times to be in Epcot...

At MK, enjoy the Halloween decorations.. They do a nice job of decorating the park for Halloween...

Keep in mind that Food and wine fest is really busy on weekends.

Here are a few things i would recommend before hand.

Go to the disney site and take a look at the menus being offered at all the booths. This will give you an idea of how much food you may or may not eat...
Most of the food items are considered a snack point on the dining plan.... if you're not on that plan i would suggest that you consider one of the F&W gift cards on a lanyard... its reloadable but some don't realize how easy it is to go through a lot of money. If you are a chase card member you can take advantage of the chase lounge which is in the old wonders of life building. as well as the ability to purchase wine that is available from the food and wine booths

I know this is a lot of info to take in if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask this will be my 3rd trip and honestly my favorite time of year to go

Check out the menus, that is a must. As for the drunks, you see more towards the end of the night. A few years ago Disney police stopped a group of guys leaving when they were walking toward the parking lot. They were invited to come sit down and told they will not be allowed to drive. Security was watching them and othes. Take your time, watch the heat, and enjoy the food and drink. There is all kinds of wine and beer.

    Default Go EARLY

Because you are planning to go to F&W on Friday you really need to do all of your eating/drinking as early in the day as possible. The locals will fill the park after 4pm (ish).
I think the prices are reasonable, especially for Disney. Yes, the portions are small but you can share each dish and be more than satisfied with 4 or 5 samples. I have yet to have anything that I didn't find delicious and worth what I paid for it.
Happy Anniversary! Have a wonderful weekend!
