Official #runICOT WDW Marathon Weekend Meet - Jan. 9-12
Without further ado - here we go!
#runICOT WDW Marathon Weekend Meet
Thursday, January 9th – Sunday, January 12th
Be sure to check out the ‘hot off the press’ #runICOT shirts, and order yours ASAP so we can all represent!
Race Meets
Thursday, 5K – Race begins at 6:15am
5:15am - Meet at the Information Tent in the Epcot Parking Lot for a group photo. Runners should be in their corrals by 5:45am. Spectators will find a spot along the route towards the finish to cheer.
Friday, 10K – Race begins at 5:30am
The cheering section will gather in front of Jellyrolls no later than 5:45am. Runners will come through this area at about mile 5 (of 6.2).
Saturday, Half Marathon – Race begins at 5:30am
The cheering section will meet no later than 5:15am at the Magic Kingdom turnstiles. Instructions and tips on getting there are in the next post. The Magic Kingdom opens at 5:30am for spectators to get their spot on Main Street. Let’s have a HUGE turnout, as this is a magical experience! A park ticket is NOT required to get in. This is around Mile 6 for the runners.
Sunday, Marathon – Race begins at 5:30am
The cheering section will meet starting at 7:30am outside the entrance to Disney’s Hollywood Studios where the big Christmas tree normally is. This is almost Mile 24 for the runners, so they’ll need our loud, cheerful encouragement as they near the end.
Park/Resort Meets
Thursday, January 9th – 7:00pm at the Tambu Lounge at the Polynesian Resort
Friday, January 10th – 3:00pm Happy Hour Meet at Gary's Column in Epcot
Saturday, January 11th - 9pm Jellyrolls on the Boardwalk
Sunday, January 12th – Departure/On Your Own

Instructions and tips on getting to the Magic Kingdom on Saturday morning for Half Marathon viewing from Main Street –
This can be kind of tricky, as I’ve found through the years. The monorail is running round trip from Epcot to the Ticket and Transportation Center, so if you park at or ride a bus from a resort to Epcot, hop the monorail to the TTC. If you have a car, you can also park at the TTC, but be warned that the streets are blocked off starting about 4:30am, I believe.
Once you get to the TTC, get on the resort line monorail, get off at the Contemporary and walk to the Magic Kingdom gates. The monorail does not stop at the Magic Kingdom until 5:30am, but it does stop at all the resorts. Allow plenty of time so that we can all be there by 5:15am and have the group ready for the turnstiles to open at 5:30am.

Oh, and let me just reiterate that this isn't just for runners, or the runner's families, etc. It's for ALL INTERCOTees who want to attend. We'd love to see you all there!

Ladies- what style did you order? I went for sleeveless as I plan to wear it running the half. Wondering if I made the right choice?
Also, I have some space for 4 at a table Thursday night at 'Ohana at 5:00 p.m. for dinner before the Tambu lounge meet. Let me know if you want in!

Question I have is, How do we get to Epcot monorail from Boardwalk at that time of morning. Is it possible to walk it?

Hmmm. Probably not. But, they will have buses running from EVERY resort to get to the start line. I think they start at 3:30am. Hop one of those, go to Epcot, and then get the monorail to the TTC.
Like I said, kinda tricky and a hassle, but I promise, it's worth it.

Thanks that will make things easier.
