Villas of the Beach Club

What are the villas at Beach Club like recently? Has anyone been there recently and can you give a review?

I enjoyed staying at Beach Club Villas. I always try to book it at the 7 month mark when we go for Food and Wine. I did just stay there for 1 night in December 2012. I wish, though, they would update the kitchen. All of the DVC 1 and 2 bedrooms should have smoothtop electric ranges and new refrigerators and dishwashers (Saratoga, Bay Lake, Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas, Old Key West, and Boardwalk have them). Hoping this is next on the renovation list. That's the only issue I have with it. I love the location!

We stayed in a studio in late Feb. Nothing wrong with it that I can remember. They were putting new carpeting in the hallways during our stay. I don't like the new carpeting style, it's too modern & doesn't fit the old victorian sea-side theme. The villas are a bit of a walk to Stormalong Bay pool area, but it is convenient to the quiet pool.
