Default No discounts for club level?

We are planning for next December but I have been checking out what discounts are for this year. From what I can gather the %30 off GF would not include Club Level which is where we went to stay (in the main building is only CL) and we want to stay AKL savanna view. It even looks like the AP discount would not get those views either? AM I looking at this right?

CLub level is often included in the discounted offers.

Room categories on discounted offers are capacity controlled. So while it may be offered, it may not be available.

Club Level rooms are one of the first to sell out. I advise being on the at 7am when an offer is released to get a shot at it.

Royal Palm rooms at the GF are often not available since there are so few of them.

You can't just "apply" a discount to an existing reservation. The discount has to be available for that date, resort, and room type. So really, booking ahead of time without the discount doesn't give you a leg up at all.

Not for getting the discount, but if you're set on staying at club level, you're better off making the ressie first. If you don't already have the room and discounts are announced, you have less of a chance of getting the club level room in the first place.

Of course there's the Catch-22 of there being no discounts on that category 'cause the rooms are already booked, but that's the game, right?
