Just wishing you well! I haven't been through this so I can't give you any good advice, but I was put under for the first tme in my life earlier this summer for wisdom teeth extraction.

I was really, really worried and scared about going under. It actually was fine. I went to sleep and next thing I know it was over. I am so glad I went under rather than do the twilight sleep they offered.

Anyway, best wishes to you! It is normal to be nervous.

Best of luck I had this done as emergency surgery 12 years ago, the surgery was fine, I went camping with my scouts a week later. Plan on sleeping for a day or two. I had some weird post surgery food reactions but I have other issues that may have caused it. Just relax let them push the drugs and try to count backwards from ten. ten...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Funny Story: I remember when they wheeled me into surgery and the doctor was quite handsome! (really really handsome) and the nurse said to the doctor, can you believe she has four children...and all I could think of was "I can't believe he's going to see me naked!!"
I love this lol, made me giggle!!

I had the surgery on a Wednesday and was back at work on Monday. I was a somewhat sore for awhile, but not too bad.

I haven't noticed any problems digesting foods, except that I don't eat meals totally consisting of fried foods anymore (but then again, neither do any of my friends as they've passed 40).

By the way, while I was waiting to go under, they let me play my iPod -- which was set to Spectromagic.
What a great idea!!!!!! I am going to put this on my iPod ASAP!!!

Thanks for all the well wishes guys!!! You made me feel a lot better! And for that, I'm grateful!

I had it done 5 years ago and it went fine. I went in that morning and went home that afternoon. I rested the first two days and then I was feeling back to normal.

I haven't had any problems since. But just relax and know that it will all be over soon!
