Things are crazy mad down here in Houma.Trying to get bottled water or regular gas is a scavenger hunt.My thoughts & prayers are with everyone.Hoping for a positive outcome with minimal to no damage.

    Yes, please stay safe everyone.

DH is already in Houma, his National Guard location, preparing for the storm.

I spent all morning preparing for the boys and I. I was surprised at the amount of water, batteries, etc. that were still available. Now I've gotta go fill up on gas before it gets too crazy.

Thanks, and my wishes are the same for my Intercot friends around us! Ready to get this over with and settle down. The waiting has been very stressful. Hopefully by this time tomorrow we'll know what we're dealing with. Still have power--still have Intercot and Disney.

I hope everyone is hanging in there and staying safe. My husband's family lives about 40 minutes north of New Orleans and had no power as of this morning.

We are experiencing fairly strong winds and steady rain. We still have power and no problems so far. The storm does seem to be moving very slowly...Hurry up, Isaac!!! Thanks for all of the prayers, Icot friends!

We're okay so far. DH is at the hospital for emergency response, they've been busy. Just a bunch of rain and wind, but it's expected to continue through tomorrow afternoon. So far we still have power. I think things could be a lot worse, especially after seeing what friends and family are dealing with to the south and east.

We are doing fine so far as well. Still have power too. We never lost power during Gustav or Ike, so we likely won't loose it for this one either. All our utilities are underground, so that helps! Hope everyone stays safe!

Prayers for all of you affected!!

Although we weren't home for Irene last year (in WDW) the complete and utter devastation that she left in her wake will stay with me for a long time.

The storm is the easy part, IMO...it's the clean up and putting everything back together that stinks.

I am so thankful that we weren't flooded, but many were. It was not a fun time around Northern NJ!

Currently all is well south of Lafayette. The worst part of the storm was east of us. It's been a LONG wind event and the rain has been steady for several hours now but it is not too bad at all. I was keeping my daughter occupied looking through pictures and videos from our WDW trip a few weeks ago!! We all took a long nap in the afternoon (perfect weather for that). I'm hoping to see sunshine tomorrow. Although I'm happy with our outcome so far I pray for those to our East who are most affected.
