Sea World?
What are your thoughts on Sea World? We have three children 2.5,6,and 9. We are staying off property for a week before our Disney trip and looking for some fun things to. We are only going to do one theme park outside of Disney and we think Sea World might be the one.
The other choices are the Kennedy Space Center or Universal Studios.
Any other suggestions?

I just got back from Seaworld this week. It is definitely a great park and a must do for children. You can do it in a day with a good plan. The shows are top notch and not to be missed. Our highlights are below:
1. All of the shows. You must do them all.
2. Feeding the dolphins
3. Feeding the stingrays
Aquatica is worth a trip as well as long as the kids can enjoy that type of thing. It was my daughter's first trip to a waterpark and she loved it.
1 Week at Wyndham Bonnet Creek 06/17/17 - 06/24/17; 1 Week at Orange Lake Resort 06/24/17 - 06/30/17; 1 week at OKW 12/03/17 - 12/10/17

Based on my experience from a couple years ago, go to SeaWorld only if it is during a cooler time of year. We were there on our honeymoon at the end of July and while most of the stadium shows are covered, they are still outside. I don't think we enjoyed things as much because of that. If we had gone when the temperatures were below 90, we might have really enjoyed SeaWorld. It is a beautiful, clean park. There is very little waiting in line because the shows hold thousands of people. It was kind of hard to find our way around sometimes, though, as there seems to be pathways going in every directions all over the place.

Lovely, clean park as Ischyros says, but I can't go there again after getting very upset at a pair of Beluga whales displaying incredibly obvious stereotype stress behaviours.
I suppose that's a personal issue I have as I'm 100% sure the animals are very well looked after.

We gave up on Sea World a few trips ago. It used to be not to be missed, but lately, they keep adding thrill rides which I have never cared for, and the stopped doing the water ski show all together. That was my favorite show.

We love Sea World!!! Great park to spend a day in. I like the feeling of not having to rush around from ride to ride. My kids always ask to stop in to Sea World on our trips...
Been there, done that and going back!!! See ya real soon !!!

For your kids' ages, I would say Sea World is your best option. Universal is more geared towards older children, and not sure if kids that young would enjoy Kennedy Space Center that much.
