That's a good question. I had not thought of that. I wonder if the Olympics have historically affected park attendance. Hmmm...

I wouldn't worry about it having an impact on the parks.

Now, if I lived in London, I'd go to Disney during the games to get out of the craziness

I can't possibly think of why there would be a correlation. I think you will be fine. If the games were happening in Orlando, then yes, I would imagine there would be an increase in park attendance.

A sporting event outside of Florida woudln't have any impact on Disney World attendence...

I assume you were hoping that tourism at WDW would be down during the games?

I can't imagine it would have much of an impact either. While there will be a great many in attendance at the games and millions more watching on TV, there are probably still plenty of people around the world that will target Disney World for their summer holiday during that time frame.
