While I have never stayed at SSR, I have stayed at BLT. Our stay at BLT was fantastic! Having access to the monorail was so convenient and it is even a short walk to the Magic Kingdom, which came in handy some nights at closing when the monorails were packed. The pool area was also really nice. Being able to walk the sky-bridge over to the Contemporary lobby and hop on the monorail was an amazing experience. Favorite place I've stayed so far! However, I'm sure you can't go wrong either way!
I would go with Bay Lake Tower because of their location to the Magic Kingdom and the walkway that goes there. Plus you you will also have Resort Monorail access to the Polynesian and Grand Floridian, along with Monorail access to Epcot when switching at the TTC. Finally they also have a Boat everyday from 6:55 AM - 11:30 PM which goes to the Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness.
Another vote for Baylake Tower. You can't beat being so close to the MK and being on the monorail.

Thank you everyone. We currently have reservations at BLT. My DS likes the warm decor at SSR better then the mid century modern look of BLT. We will try to sway her with location, location, location.
