Menu's with your name on it?

I was just searching some older posts and came across someone's review of Narcoossee's and how wonderful it was. He mentioned that as a surprise to his spouse, he had their names customized on the menu. Is this something that typically happens at the restaurant? I would love to surprise my boyfriend with this. How do I set it up?

Also, can this be done at any restaurant? Thanks!

We had ours at Artist Point. We were celebrating our anniversary. When I set up the reservation I told them what it was for and they took care of it. Hope I helped.

Coral Reef also does it (at least they did a few years ago). I just called and got the name and email of a person to send photos and the message I wanted on the menus and they took care of everything else. I didn't even have to say anything once we got to the restaurant - they just brought out the special menus to my wife and son as I sat back and watched their eyes light up upon seeing their pictures and personalized messages on the menus.

Wish I would have known they would do this back in 2008....We were there for our 10th anniversary and had the Candlelight Processional dinner package at Tutto Italia...That would have been a neat surprise for DW!!!!

As far as I know, they've never done this at Tutto. It's been more of a "thing" at the GF signature restaurants. Even at Coral Reef they stopped doing it once it became widely known on the internet.

I did this for DH as a surprise for one of our anniversaries at CR. They even had a diver hold up a happy anniversary sign - it was SO cool - he was pretty shocked

We celebrated our 25th aniversary at Victoria and Albert's with personalised menues. You can see my copy in the menus section on the Info Central tab above.

Great meal. I don't drink coffee but I would order it again anyway, just to see it happen.
