    Default Resort Online Check In?

Has anyone utilized the online check in system at the resorts? What's your opinion? We are checking into the Polynesian on Dec 17th.

If you do a thread search you'll see tons of opinions on online check-in. Most of them the same - if all you want to do is pick up your tickets/room key and go, then online check-in is great. If you might want to look for a specific room, ask questions, or have special requests, don't do online check-in. The online saves you about 5 min because you don't have to give your CC or personal info. Other than that, it doesn't do much. The one advantage I think it MIGHT have (no confirmation) is that if you put in your estimated time of arrival you have a better chance of having a room ready when you arrive. I have done online check-in 7 times now. Always arrived before the 3 pm check-in time. 5 of the 7 times my room was ready when I arrived, including both resorts I've stayed at on this current trip (arrived at CBR at 11 am last Friday and Poly at 8 am on Monday). That seems to be decent correlation to me seeing as how I almost never had a room ready prior to using this system.

What Chris said... I did online checking this past October and found it did not save me any time at all... First, the computers were down at the Contemporary so I couldn't check in right away to Bay Lake.. So, I really cannot complain because that was no fault of anyone... But at Saratoga, I still had to wait for the room to be ready... Saved me no time at all...

TRICIA JONES: I heard that you were going to propose to Brandi Svenning at some theme park. When are men going to learn that women want ROMANCE, not Mr. Toad's Wild Ride...

BRODIE: Hey, now, be fair. EVERYONE wants Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

I thought that the online check-in process was very easy 10 days out. No complaints there. When we arrived at CSR the online check-in line took much longer than the standard check-in line (we arrived at 10pm or so). Also, they hadn't given us our room request, so I had to ask about other rooming options, etc. and then held up the line even further. Definitely not a plus for us.
