What is your favorite animal to see at Animal Kingdom?
We often forget to take the trail that leads to the Red Kangaroo. We enjoy seeing it, though.

Elephants. Many of our midwest zoos are no longer keeping elephants, so we make a point of seeing what we can't see locally. I never thought it would be elephants having grown up always seeing them, but now, its like a disney treat!

the gorillas. we always seem to get a really good show-we've seen them "fighting" over territory, catching oranges the keepers threw them, and last time one gorilla was wandering around with his food bowl on his head and posing for us
last trip AKL may '06
first trip 1973

I like the meerkats on the Pangani Forest trail, and the tigers on the Jungle Trek.

Another great question! This might sound like an odd answer, but I really love to see the wildebeests. I wish they had a bigger herd, but I'm sure there is an economical, ecological, and practical reason why they can only have a few.
I also love when the hippos are close to the window on the Pangani Forest Trail, but I haven't had much luck with that the past few trips.

We usually skip the animals except the safari ride because we lived for many years near a wonderful small zoo, so the "zooish" aspect of Animal Kingdom holds no thrill for my children.

The Yetti, of course! If you mean real animals, then I'll go with Tigers - always cool to see them running around.
My name is Gator. You killed my Sorcerer's Hat. Prepare to die.

There is a "hidden" trail that goes under the branches of the Tree of Life and behind a big waterfall at the base of the tree. The kangaroos can be seen from this trail. The trail entrance is on the right, just as you approach the bridge to Africa from Discovery Island.

I discovered the Red Kangaroos for my first time this past August. I've been there 4 times before that adn never known that trail was there!!
I love animals, so my list could be really, really long...But I'll narrow it down. My favorites to see are the Okapis, Giraffes, Elephants, and Tigers. There also used to be ring-tailed lemurs which are my all time ever favorite animal, but I don't think they're there anymore.

I was only at Animal Kingdom once but my cousin and I really enjoyed watching the otters. They were adorable! When we did the Kilimanjaro Safari our driver told us since it was so hot we probably wouldn't see the lion. When we came around the back part of a large rock we saw the lions tail and rear end sticking out from where he was laying in the shade. That was pretty cool. I also like watching the zebras at the lodge.

We saw the new baby elephant on our last trip... made my morning :-)
