Default Favorite time of day for table service

I am planning my ADRs for our next trip. Usually we do one table service meal per day (OOP w/ TIW).

On somedays I am looking for something special like a character breakfast or perhaps a dinner with fireworks view, but there are always a couple of days where we just need one sit down meal. I tend to spend a lot of time debating which meal to make table service.

So I am curious, if you are only doing one table service meal a day-do you have a time preference?

I voted dinner OOP (after 8P) but we also enjoy late lunches when in Epcot. Sometimes its just nice to relax, have a drink, and enjoy a meal when the restaurants are quiet. The waitstaff is much more relaxed and we've had some great conversations with them. My personal favorite is the patio at Tutto Italia in the fall.

We almost always do dinner unless something we really want is only available for lunch. We only do one breakfast and that is departure day.

I'd say Lunch (DDP). You can have a light breakfast, big lunch (or brunch) to hold you over for the day and then a light/regular dinner.

I like TS breakfast because I'm usually not fully awake yet. Plus, I love breakfast food, and it's nice to sit down and enjoy it. Buuut,I also like TS dinner. Sitting down in a nice, cool restaurant is so nice after a long day--just what I need to recharge before fireworks!
Mostly, I go by what I expect to do on any given day. For our coming trip, we want to be at the park for rope drop which eliminates a lot of TS breakfasts, the exceptions being pre-park opening Crystal Palace and Akershus.

Occasionally, we have breakfast at a TS location, but we always plan late lunches. Wherever we go, we use the TIW card for the discount.

I honestly don't have a preference. Breakfast is probably our least favorite - we do the dining plan, so breakfast seems like the least economical - my kids love being abler to order things like steak (which they don't get to do as often when we are paying OOP for a meal), so lunch and dinner work better for us. We generally do one TS breakfast during our trip for a character meal, then the rest of the TS are split between lunch and dinner - it just depends on what our park plans are.

I voted "no preference" because I really like to mix it up. I'm hooked on the DDP now, and ideally I'd like at least two character breakfasts, and divide the rest of the sit downs among lunches and dinners depending on the plan for the day. I guess I tend to go with more dinners, but if I suspect an early leave from the park, I'll do lunch.

I tend to do TS lunches on park days. I plan for a late lunch around 2:00 so that we're past peak time and it gives us a decently long break to relax a bit mid-day in the air conditioning (we usually visit during the summer). Then I'll plan for a later CS dinner. On non-park days I tend to do TS dinners. It really depends on the plan for the day. The one thing I don't typically do is TS breakfasts, although at least once per trip I try to get a character meal in, so occasionally I do do a breakfast. This last trip I actually squeaked in 2, one breakfast and one dinner.

Thanks for all the response. I had a feeling most dining plan people would pick dinner.

I think I fall in the it depends category. I had tried lunches for a while since it lets you get out of the heat and is a bit less expensive than dinner Most of my family does not enjoy the options for quick dinners. My mom is the only person I know who can walk through the World Showcase and not find one quick serve item she likes, , so dinner is often a good choice for us.

We always do a CS breakfast at the resort (at least one Character breakfast per trip) and a light OOP lunch in whatever park we are in at lunch time then a reserved TS dinner.

After about 9 hours at a park we look forward to a great, relaxing TS Dinner. We use the DDP, but have paid OOP when needed

I like to take a break around 1 to 1:30ish and grab a quiet sit down lunch before hitting the rest of the day. I'm not one for heading back to the hotel for a mid-day pick-me-up so going to a restaurant and ordering lunch when the crowds have dispersed a bit means I'm not rushed to hurry and leave to provide a table for someone else. It is just more relaxing. And I don't mind paying for my lunch out of pocket because it is less expensive than dinner.

Default Favorite time of day for table service

I just looked at my ADRs for our next trip and realize we have an even distribution. We have exactly the same number of table service ADRs for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Actually surprised me because off the top of my head I would have guessed differently. In general would have guessed more TS dinners but I guess for our family it depends on who we are with and where we plan to be each day.
