To soon? Discounts?

So we are planning on attending the Food and Wine celebration fall 2012, should I go ahead and make reservations now at BC? We really want to make sure we get a room at BC but what if we make reservations now and some discounts become available after we book our vacation?

I would make your reservations now using Magical Journeys. They will monitor the discounts for you and contact you if/when one becomes available for the time of your trip. It is so great- you won't have have to worry that you'll miss getting deal.

FYI I would not count on discounts at BC during F&W. I reservations for POFQ for this Oct but hoped to upgrade once Oct AP discounts were announced. Unfortunately all BC rooms were booked at full rack rate so nothing available for AP discount (at least for the week we are going).

We are going to have a great week at POFQ but really wanted to get a EPCOT resort for F&W (but looks like so did everyone else!).

I agree, discounts at the Epcot resorts during F&W may be hard to come by.

I also recommend booking the room ASAP, as I'm sure the are filling up quickly.

We've used MJ, and they are super about applying any discounts that do come out after you've booked. If you book directly through Disney, you'll have to call them and sort it out directly, but it can be done.

I would make your reservations now through a travel agent that will look for discounts for you in the future. If discounts are available closer to the date of your trip, your agent should be able to change the reservation for you to include the discount.

Thanks everyone, pretty much what I figured but wanted to make sure. We used MJ this year and were very pleased, will use them again.
